This is kind of a "your preference" thing, but when you play ranked MP like Halo 3 or CoD, do you prefer to play on a computer moniter or a plasma/LCD TV? I prefer the TV myself, so many years spent playing old FPS on the PC kinda got old lol so the TV is a breath of fresh air to me

I prefer my 23" 1080p TV/Monitor on my desk as I find it easier to play games when im sitting closer to the screen, which I cant with a large TV.

see thats what i was wondering, i sit in a recliner bout 9 feet away from a 42in plasma 720p TV. I seem to play Halo and CoD a bit better when im on my moniter sitting in my computer chair. Maybe sitting in a recliner keeps me less alert lol

I sit in a bean bag chair on the ground in front of my 37" LCD tv. Sometimes I will be on the couch to stretch my back out

I play on a 50" plasma, with 5.1 surround sound. That is the only way to roll these days. Games like Dead Space have incredible sound tracks that can only be fully experienced in at least a 5.1 surround setting. Added to that the fantastic visuals viewed on a large screen make for a fantastic gaming experience. Other games that come to mind are Oblivion, Bioshock and even Conan. You gotta go big!!!:)

I like the way you think stroppy, I have my 360 setup to a 1000watt 5.1 system and MY GOD does it rock on those late nites my g/f isnt home. However only reason I made this post is my hard core gamer friend (ie he doesnt use any of the 360s perks, just plays Halo) thinks I will play much much better on a moniter, thats all. BUT, I do wanna get my 800 bucks worth out of my TV lol

And I like the way YOU think reverend, I just picked up a new Polk Audio 1000 watt 5.1 system 2 days ago, and it sounds AMAZING. Got a great deal on it too! It was 600 bucks retail, and I got it for 300, plus 100 feet of free 16 gauge speaker wire!

I play on a 52" Samsung DLP with Logitech Z-5500's for the surround sound. It's not the most expensive setup, but damn it sure gets the job done. I'm stoked to move out of this apartment and into our new house next month. I get a ground floor room for gaming in, and you better believe I am cranking up the audio.
