I had that issue on C&C3. A week later my internet died. Once it was fixed, everything was fine.

Yeah, my friend's NHL 08 freezes and disconnects everytime we try to update the rosters.

Seems to be a daily occurance with the servers.

I just go to single player or go to a different game when it happens. Annoying though.
