I realize they are very different games but I'm having a hard time choosing between them. I don't have any racing games but I have a lot of shooters including Call of Duty 4. Battlefield Bd Company looks amazing but my lack of racing games makes Paradise look just as appealing? Which one should I buy?

I'd go with Bad Company, stick with what you know. Rent Paradise and if you like it pick it up.

Definately get a racing game, however I suggest getting Grid instead of Burnout.

All these monotonous colossal bores of shooting games are the same.

Burnout Paradise is great.. basically you cruise around a big city. Every stop light has a challenge like racing, road rage or trying to survive. It's easy to pick up and learn and not overly addicting, I usually play it when I got 45 mins to kill. But haven't played Battlefield yet, trying to get the Demo off the marketplace.

Paradise is awesome. And the devs are doing basically bi-monthly DLC until the end of the year as well. The game is excellent.
