I apoligize in advance if this is already answered in another thread.

So after a 1.6 GB download, I finally get into a multiplayer match. And I notice that the control setup uses the left analog stick for both moving the player, and turning the player. This is the most awkward and strange setup I've ever seen for a console-based FPS. So I exit, go into options, and in land controls, I'm sure I set the right analog stick to turn... and then go back into a match, and the same behavior occurs.

Is there a way to use the right stick to turn, and the left stick to move, the way practically every other FPS game on the planet works? Thanks.

umm I am not sure... My controls are almost exactly the same for BC2 as all other FPS and I didnt change anything The left stick is to look around and turn and the right one is to move side to side and forward and backwards.. I dont know how yours got messed up.

I wouldn't like those controls either. Maybe there's a menu you can use to change them?

sounds strange to me. I have had NO problems with the controls on my xbox. I'd verify you have SAVED the settings after you change any controls. sometimes menus discard any changes unless you hit save, not just exit or back.

goodluck.

That isn't a newbie question. That is a "holy crap I just may be screwed out of enjoying the best FPS on the planet" question.

Sorry... no answer from me either. That %^&* is ^&#*in' wack.

if you have played any call of duties theres a control scheme called southpaw/ legacy southpaw which is probably similar to what youre experiencing. if the settings dont work then yeah, youre pretty screwed over i guess.
