bfbc2 VIP code?

Is the VIP code only for the limited edition? Because the limited edition of battlefield BC2 is sold out and i just want to know if the regular copy has the VIP code too.

All copies get the VIP code - it's just part of the EA "$10" plan as they call it.

Everybody gets one code and so can claim the content once. However, if you were to trade the game in, the next person would have to pay for the extra content; meaning that EA will get money from second-sales (something that they've been wanting to do for a long time). So yeh, everybody gets a one-use code; it's simply to make EA money when somebody trades the game in or sells it to a friend.
