I just got the game today, and the disk is in great condition except for a few scratches. The problem I'm having is that when I start a new game, and get to the cutscene where Frank jumps out of the helicopter onto the Helipad, a loading page comes up, and it never stops loading. I've countlessly tried, and this page never stops loading.

Maybe the couple of scratches did it.

No, it's your HDD. This happened to me too. For some reason Dead Rising didn't work for a bunch of HDD's (there was a huge thread about it on the Capcom forums when I had this problem). The only way to solve it is to go out and buy a memory card, take out your HDD and save your game on it. If you don't believe me then PM me and I'll tell you more, or you can go out and rent a copy of Dead Rising and you'll find that it stalls at the exact same spot. Or now that I think of it, try playing the game with your HDD detached, and you will progress beyond that point but won't be able to save.

But DON'T format! That doesn't work, and assuming you've had your 360 for a while it's would be a lot of trouble to erase everything on it.
