Big Orange Box or Halo 3?

Not sure which to buy. I don't play much online multiplayer (that may change when more people I know buy xbox360s). Not a huge FPS fan. That being said, I really enjoyed the Halo campaign. For some reason Halo 2 didn't really do it for me. Quit playing on the second level and never went back to it. I did enjoy the Gears of War campaign and I am REALLY enjoying Bioshock.

Which game will I like more? I'm leaning towards big orange box because I've heard the Half Life 2 story is very interesting. It also sound like a better value, but the Halo 3 hype has me torn.

Halo 3 is an unbelievably enjoyable experience, HL2/TF2 are ports. Keep in mind Halo 3 online/campaign was crafted explicitly for the Xbox.

Very tough decision in my opinion. Both games are great, and both offer amazing value. The Orange Box has amazing single player value with a story about 2-3x as long as Halo 3. With the multiplayer, it is a toss up, but I think Halo 3 wins because, at least at this point, it has more customization and a bigger player base. However, of course, Team Fortress has a following older than Halo and has different classes which add many more dimensions to gameplay.

Overall, I'd say the best package is the Orange Box. I've been anticipating that package since its been announced and have wanted to play it more than Halo 3. But yeah, either game is legit and a good purchase.

Well I'm not entirely sure what to recommend, because i thought the Halo campaign was terrible but I'm liking Halo 2's a lot more (havent finished it yet but I'm well into it). However, I have heard that Halo 3's campaign is rather short, and with the Orange Box you get HL2, Episode 1 and Episode 2, which is probably a good 20 hours or so between them all, and it'll come with Portal. Also if you do decide to play multiplayer, Team Fortress 2 is great fun. It makes Halo 3 multiplayer seem generations old.
