Castle Crashers by far! It's by the same makers of Alien Hominid!
And I know I shouldn't judge a game by its demo, but I thought BC: Rearmed was terrible.
i played the demo, its good, but the controls are awkward. You need to perffectly align your hook with the corresponding segment otherwise u do. its hard to do diagnol hooks.

Yes, it is hard at first but you get used to it. I bought the game and I feel that it's alright. I sort of got caught up in the hype and I was hoping it would be a much better game than it is. I'm enjoying myself but if I could have my money back, I'd take it. It can definitely be frustrating at some points, also to shoot a diagonal hook, you don't need to aim with the joystick you simply press B on it's own.
Get both, BC:R is awesome as a SP game and CC will be an awesome MP game.
So far I am loving BC:R it does take some getting used to, but once you get your swing down and how to block bullets with the arm your are set. The graphics are like nothing else on the arcade, and the music is great. It is way worth the 800 M$ points.

I think is the perfect remake of a classic game, I understand how the controls need a little getting used to, but is the perfect adaption of the '88 classic, I got it from the first time. The bosses are cool and the graphix are excelent, I cant believe its only 10 bucks.
Castle crashers ive been waiting for over a year to come out, but honestly, if you like retro games, platformers, or just a good revamp of a classic game thats challenging, get BCR...
and then get Castle crashers when it hits arcade on the what, 27th?
both are too good to miss up, and the demo of BCR doesnt do the full game justice, because it lets you play half a level, the outside part is the first half, theres then an inside cave complex and then you fight the first boss.
the demo only lets you play the outside and then catch a glimpse of the boss.
2player co-op is just too fun to miss as well.
the sound track is awesome,
the list goes on really.
