I'd say they're probably 2 of if not the 2 most innovative, creative and distinct games coming out this year. Your sure as hell not going to mistake either of those games for something else.
He left out the part about mass effect and bioshock look like everyone other game for a reason. You wouldn't have looked if you placed it into the title.
Well I suppose you are entitled to your opinion, but I strongly disagree with you. This is my opinion, take it for what you will, I am comparing this to current games that are out. KotOR+GRAW = Mass Effect, two of my most Favorite games of last gen and current gen respectively, and that to me is an awesome combo. As for Bioshock, Im not quite sure what to compare it to other than its predescessor System Shock 2 and thats not a bad thing at all. Since Bioshock is the spiritual successor to System Shock 2 and EA owns the rights to System Shock unfortunately. Both are well worthy of any and all praise they are getting and well worth any $ you pay to own them. I believe it will be interesting to see which game of 07 gets the game of the year award here on Gamespot as well as other source's GoY with so many games coming out this year.
I agree with what others have said. Bioshock and Mass Effect both look very unique. Maybe not completely 100% original (as all media borrows from other media) but definately doesnt look like every other game being released.
