Also 95% in PC Gamer. Cant wait to get my hands on this game.

Just that its in no way a GOTY contender.

Regarding CoD4 and GOTY... typically Games of the Year are innovative titles bringing new elements of gameplay, etc. While I have no doubt Call of Duty 4 will be a graphics powerhouse and a superior title, sequels like that typically don't achieve game of the year status.

From the videos and what I've read Bioshock has some very interesting elements of gameplay such as modifying your body & weapons using the plasmids, etc... not to mention a truly unique and gripping storyline, which will leave people wanting to play the game over and over again for some reason, the reviewers stated they didn't want to spoil the game.

It's things like that that get you Game of the Year, not just another pretty war shooter. Keep in mind though, I'm in no way putting down Call of Duty 4... I can't wait to get that game too.

COD4 = 9.0, Halo 3 = 9.5 & Bioshock = 10.0.

I'm not a "Halo Hater", but I'd put large sums of money to bet that Bioshock gets better reviews than Halo 3 averaged across the spectrum of websites & magazines.jacksheets

The thing with Halo 3 is you are getting a fantastic singleplayer AND a fantastic multiplayer.

With BioShock you are getting a F'ing phenomenal singleplayer but no multi (as far as I know). Which I don't mind at all cause sometimes its nice to go through a solid singleplayer title. But it does something different with the FPS genre which might give the tipped hat.

Right, Bioshock will be a single player tour-de-force where Halo is known for it's multiplayer and vast number of people who play it online.

They're apples & oranges and will appeal to different groups of gamers in some cases.

To touch a bit more on the Halo comparison.... I just have a feeling the Halo reviews are going to have a lot of comments in the vein of "more of the same, just a bit more polished" and "not offering anything truly revoluationary". That is why Halo will probably be docked and will possibly get reviews ranging in the high 8's and 9.0 range.... I'd be shocked and eat my shoe if it gets a 9.5 or 10 on Gamespot.

I love discussing all these games and which one is gonna be better then this or that and what genres are my favorites and what is my most anticipated...but it always brings me back to one reminder.

I will be broke as a joke and have no social life in the coming months.

Bioshock is going to embarrass Halo 3. I'm sure all the Halo fans will cry and whine that the multi-player makes Halo 3 sooo much better but Halo 3 multiplayer is going to be embarrassed this year by Team Fortress 2.

who the hell are you, judging a game before you even played it? Bioshock and Halo 3 are both sweet games, and you are pwning yourself for not buying halo 3. Watch halo 3 score higher than bioshock.

I feel the same way. CoD4 is pretty, and that's pretty much the onlything about it that appeals to me. I'll probably just play it to get an easy 1000 gamerscore and to see if the multiplayer is any fun.
