You still get some ADAM when you rescue them. Approximately half of what you'd get for harvesting them. I completed the game on Medium and I rescued every single Little Sister, and I never really found that I was lacking enough ADAM to get me through the game.
Just do what I did. Have two seperate files going at once. One where you rescue them. The other where you harvest them. It is alot of fun to do, especially when you get to compare and contrast certain plasmids you get and don't get. You'll have to play to see what I mean.
It won't matter if you choose to harvest or save them, you'll still get close to the same amount of ADAM(a little more if you harvest). The only difference is you'll get like 1 or 2 different plasmids and a different ending if you choose to save them. I've heard there's a 3rd ending as well for splitting between harvesting and saving so it looks like I'll be playing through again after my second time. I love this game. :D

Yeah, that's what I'm doing. When I got to the point in the first level where you have to decide what to do with the first Little Sister you run into...I created a seperate gamesave. I haven't beaten the game yet, but right now I'm gonna harvest all of them (I'd recommend it on your first playthrough...the amount of ADAM you get makes the game alot easier) and then when I beat it, I'm gonna go back and load that save that I made and rescue all of them.
