I just bought it last weekend. It is one of the BEST shooters I have ever played... Who liked it, and who hated it? There only has to be a handful that didn't care for it.

I think I hyped myself up a bit too much. It just wasnt my cup of tea. Atmosphere, graphics, sound, voice acting are absolutely amazing. Presentation wise, it's a masterpiece, but backtracking, constantly picking up first aid kits and items to survive was SO annoying(and I mean CONSTANTLY), and dying repeatedly were really frustrating. Maybe I'm not good at survival/rpgish/shooters. It just wasnt for me.
P.S. No replay value either. :(

I'd have to agree. The game's a masterpiece, and worthy of a 10 score, but dying and respawning just gets too annoying after the first five hours, not to mention running out of ammo and constantly replenishing health and adam.

I loved it,the best fps iv ever played,,and i have to disagree with the above 2 comments becus when i played the game fr the first time on medium i just died maybe 5 or 6 time throughout the whole game, now im playing it on hard fr the third time and hav gone through 3 or 4 hours of the game and have respawned just thrice i think........and secondly, the fact that u have to constantly replenish adam and health is what gives the game its extreme survival factors, theres always sum secret passageway or room that leads to a hidden treasure of rare ammo and plasmids and heaps of dollars.
in my opinion this game has a great replay value cus i absolutely cherished it,im playing it the 3rd time and thats huge fr me becus i have never ended a game more than once, never.other than BIOSHOCK
I loved it..... only played through it once..... as I find the replayability is kinda low.... its definately worth 2 play throughs....I've just been too busy with other titles.....
How is it people are complaining about dying alot..... I think I died like 3-4 times through the entire game..... I wasn't playing on the hardest difficulty though.... maybe thats why, I dunno. And Ammo definately wasn't a problem for me.... I couldnt even carry all the ammo made available to me.
Anyways I loved it.
Its one of the best shooter Ive ever played, but sadly it has little replay value.hillelslovak
The only FPS I have ever played in my life that had a campaign with replay value was Halo:CE
There is not one FPS on the 360 with any replay value, so your entire argument is worthless.
BTW, Bioshock is an amazing game. I played through it twice.
I agree the replay value isn't good, but the first time you play it will be aswsome. Bioshock is one of my favourite games.
Bioshock is ....
My fav game so far this generation
GOTY 2007 (maybe not at GS, but in mine and very many media outlets minds)
One of the most immersive experances i've ever had playing a game.
Awesome.
A must have.
I can see the lack of replay value, but the only time I've really had to respawn or reload is a match with a big daddy. Running out of ammo hasn't been a problem, and if you hunt around, you'll find plenty of it, along with first aid kits. However, I am the kind of gamer that searches every freaking nook and cranny, instead of blowing through the game. I've probably taken too long to get to where I am, but that's the way I play. haha i played this game the exact same way looting everything possible and backtracking around and found tons of health ammmo and adam...unfortunately i still didnt get the all audio tape achievement, have no idea where i missed any....but this game was super fun, maybe a little to easy at times especially the end bad guy. I will definetely never play it again, i borrowed it off a buddy so that works for me. I found it a little repetitive getting towards the end, but anyway good game and deserves at 9 or 9.5 for sure.
My g/f bought it for me in the beginner of Dec. I played it for about 30 minutes and didn't really pick it up again until this week. Not sure why I was turned away from it, but now that I started hard on it...I CAN'T QUIT!!
Game is very impressive though. Very unique.
