I'm thinking about getting Bioshock because I hear it's one of the best gmames on the 360, How long is the campaign? Does it have online gamemodes? If a game has no online play then the campaign will have to be enough to last me a long time and I don't like repeating campaigns I've already finished.

Its an amazing game totally deserved GOTY 07 but after I finished it the first time, I never felt compelled to play it again. A must get if your a 360 or PC owner.

No online multiplayer in Bioshock. The game is pretty long. Longer than your average FPS campaign. They say it's about 20 hours. If you really zip through, I'm sure you could finish it in less time than that, but it's such a pretty game and such an interesting world that you could spend plenty of time just looking around at your environment. The story is very intriguing. There are two different endings. You won't be disappointed if you pick this up.

Like the previous posters have mentioned, Bioshock is a gem. As soon as you play it, you can see why it could have easily been game of the year last year. The story and gameplay are very unique. I found Bioshock to be one of the best FPS games out. Although, it has no online multiplayer, so the replay value for this game is pretty low. Once I beat it, I tried to go back through it a second time around and it just wasn't the same experience. It's definitely worth one playthrough though. I rented the game for a week. It was money well spent. I'd say rent it. Even though it is an incredible masterpiece, the replay value is low.

It's about 8-10 hours depending on how you go through it, and has zero replayability (linear, no multi).

This pretty much sums up my opinion as well. Go buy it; you'll be doing yourself a favor.

i was very let down by the game, possibly because i had such high hopes going into it. but one thing for sure is that this game has very little value; isnt all that long, no online content, very little replay value. if i were you id rent the game, its worth a playthrough but itll just be rotting away on your self afterwards.

It's awe inspiring the first time you go through the game, but it losses all that when you play it for a second time.

This game is a good rent.

Buy now, think later. Game was a blast. I went through it twice, but I really enjoyed it. Most people I'd say once is enough, but that one time is still worth it.

10-20 hours worth of good, original FPS content. it's kind of overrated IMHO, but its a decent rental at best. there's not much replay value other than difficulty settings, but that's not really enough to get you coming back.

i think its great first i played it on easy and killed sisters then redid on hard still killing sisters although my bro did it on normal and saved them and i thought this game got GOTY they gave it GOTY in game informer but great game odds are no replay value. i just did it for achievments and its fun.

It's a good game but it has zero replay value imo. Definitely worth 1 play through though. You should rent it and see if you like it.

It's definitely worth getting, but the replay value is virtually nil. You can play it once as a "good guy" (rescue the little sisters), play virtually the same game again as a "bad guy" (kill the little sisters) and get an extra achievement and a slightly different ending, but that's it.

Honestly, I haven't even gone back to it to get the alternate ending. I started, but it was just too samey. I might go back over it this summer sometime.

About 20 hours long on your first playthrough. It's possible to get all the achievements in one playthrough, with planning. There are two different endings. I've played through 5 times, and never the same way twice.

na play at least twice. its good enough with enough variety and challanges to keep going more than once.

After playing the demo off x-live the game made my 'must play all the way through' list. I also was a little concerned with how long it would be but this thread definately is encouraging me to just buy it already instead of save it for a good weekend rent. I don't mind traversing the same world as long as it is amazing to go through.

It is one of the most beautiful, well-constructed games on the 360. Absolutely buy it.... but not for more than $40.

I'll probably just rent it, that'll give me enough time to beat a couple times.
