Bioshock

-Amazing Graphics

-Comes out sooner

-Completey originial story and gameplay

-Action-Adventure game with alot of RPG elements such as Customizing guns and ablities

Blue Dragon

- I really crave a Japanese RPG turn-based game...espicially one being produced by hironobu sakaguchi

- I'm assuming I will be playing this alot longer then Bioshock since IGN said it was "20 hours on hard mode" ,and Blue Dragon is a japanese RPG game

Your answer is appreciated. (please don't say "Both" as an answer)

Both

...kidding.

Anyway, from what I've seen, Bioshock has been getting many 10s (or the equivalent), and Blue Dragon on the other hand has gotten score ranging from 7-8 (or the equivalent).

Personally, I would get Bioshock now, and Blue Dragon if/when the price drops.

Oh and try both demos if you already haven't, see what pulls you in more.

Me, I'd go for Blue Dragon but I'm pretty biased here. Bioshock looks like a FPS Resident Evil. I'm holding on both.

well i dont really like japanese turn based rpg's, so id obviously go w/ bioshock. but as someone already said, bioshock has gotten many reviews of a perfect rating and i believe its the highest rated next gen game so far ( i think). so its lookin like bioshock might be one of those games that comes around only every once in a while and it looks like a must have. if i were u, id wait until a little bit better jrpg came out, bc blue dragon hasnt gotten great reviews.

Dude - I just have to ask...

WTF are you playing in that one shot in your sig? LMAO

Looks like some super crazy DDR move or something? LOL (just playing about the DDR).

Or are you about to judo kick your TV? LOL

Sorry - that's great though, one of the funniest pics I've seen in a LONG time.

PEACE!!! :)

UPDATE:

I just checked - so maybe it is DDR-U? :)

well if you're craving an rpg and you're craving bioshock the real question should be bioshock or eternal sonata because that game is going to blow blue dragon out of the water in every possible way.

I'd go with Bioshock. I live in Japan and have had Blue Dragon since it came out over here last year. I like JRPG's but Blue Dragon really isn't anything special, sure you might get more hours out of it but most of that will be spent in tedious repetitive battles.

Now Bioshock looks like a really great game. All the reviews so far have called it an instant classic and have heaped praise on it. Bioshock is going to be a game you really don't want to miss out on. Your going to be telling your kids about the time you first played Bioshock in 15 years time. I exagerate but Bioshock does really seem to be a landmark game.

I'd get Bioshock then either wait for Trusty Bell or Lost Odyssey to come out.

I'd go with Bioshock.

Apparently Blue Dragon turned out pretty average despite having some pretty big names working on it.

Bioshock, not bad but I personally dislike it after playing the demo due to some of the idea's I do not like. Blue Dragon, I hope in the future Japanese people will understand the meaning of a next-gen console. If they do they wouldn't be using pathetic unrealistic puff dolls(meaning thedrawn characters aren't real enough, they look like 6 year old kid dolls)as characters for a RPG in 360 and this game isn't in the arcade section or I wouldn't be complaining.

I thought blue dragon was terrible and i hate the art style it uses but i do have to defend it here. Just because something is next gen doesnt mean it has to have realistic graphics. Cartoonish graphics are fine if its done in the right space and has a good style. But like i said i hate that whole dragonball z crap.

I was pretty hyped for BD, even including it in my three august purchases (Bio, BD, MP3) but after playing the demo, it just seemed like an average JRPG. Bioshock on the other hand seems totally new and original, so i'd say go with Bioshock.

Bioshock,

Blue Dragon has been averaging a 7-8 out of ten while Bioshock's average is a 9.9. IGN gave it a 9.7. Besides I played the Blue Dragon demo on Live and it didn't seem to have anything new to offer. Don't get me wrong, I love JRPGs (Final Fantasy 12, Dragon Quest 8, Rogue Galaxy are recent favorites), but this one seems like nothing special gameplay and story wise. Graphics were nice though, I will admit that.

Eternal Sonata looks much better than Blue Dragon in the JRPG department to me. Bioshock to answer your question.

I personally like Blue Dragon but I would get Bioshock. If you are really in the mood for an RPG then get BD. Eternal Sonata is brilliant. I'm returning my Madden and, getting BD and Eternal Sonata. My next 3 months will be wiped out.

If you crave a jrpg (which you said you do) then i would go with blue-dragon.

At least in terms of what you are getting in play hrs, blue dragon wins by quite a bit (40-50hrs vs 10-20 for bioshock)

So i say get BD next week and get Bioshock later.
