Better story than saving the galaxy? These are the two games that I'm dying to get my hands on, but I have a feeling Mass Effect will be one of, if not the greatest RPGs ever made. Bioshock seems like a really intelligent game, where you have to use your brain to figure out how the AIs interact with each other. It's going to be interesting to see how they each turn out in the end, but I think when you play Mass Effect, the characters and the new dialogue system will draw you in like no other game out there.

Both going to be amazing I'm sure, but I think Mass Effect will win in every category except maybe combat engine. I think Bioshock will have a more "trippy" and "out there" storyline (I mean comon, little girls with some kind of super powers being protected by drill wielding dudes named "Big Daddy's??) but Mass Effect will have a sick story with an amazing dialogue system. Mass Effect will also certainly be the longer of the two. I can't wait for both, tho I will probably buy Mass Effect and only rent BioShock.

From what I've seen so far I'd go with Bioshock, but as the feller already has stated its very hard anymore to estimate what the impact will be on the gaming community of highly anticipated unreleased games.

Yes, its called making predictions. No its not a hard science, but it can be fun to form opinions and form expectations.

Well IMO bioshock looks better than GOW. And it looks really fun and provides a really great atmophere

Hard to tell right now.  Ill probably sample both of them.  Either way they are 2 of the most promising games coming out.

Very hard choice till there both out, I mean Bioshock is made by the people of System Shock, a great classic game. Yet Mass Effect is made by Bioware which is well Bioware so hard to compare. Not to mention there really differnt games all together.

When you've got companies like Irrational working on Bioshock and Bioware on Mass Effect, you know they're both keepers... As to which is better, I think they're too different to really compare. Still, I'd go with Mass Effect since I love everything Bioware has put out so far.

I gonna have to go with mass on this one. They only thing im worried bout is the combat but the rpg element with be the deciding factor for me.

I think Mass Effect will be the best ! It's like Oblivion, but in the space, and with plasma shotguns..you gotta love it !

Bioshock for me!!! It will be the most anticipated game for myself..Can't wait to play that on a 50"HDTV screen and hooked up to my Surround sound system!! The notion of finally booting up bioshock and taking my first steps into this watery world keeps this game near the top of my most anticipated list. Also, Irrational made system shock 2,

which scared the hell outa me, in addition of being a great game!! I concur!!!

I love the idea of being underwarter for the entire game, so I'm gonna go with Bioshock. I love the water graphics. Both games look good though so I'm probably gonna check them both out.
