Bioshock or Mass Effect?

I've heard both has superbe story rarly found in games. So aside from the game genre and replablitiy, which has better story?

I say Mass Effect. MUCH better gameplay, and it lasts alot longer in my opinion.

Depends on what you want though, really.

Bioshock - Shooter with a really wierd story (However unique)

Mass effect - Action-RPG (Play it like a shooter and you'll get trashed) with a really deep and involving story, though has some tough weakpoints like vehicle combat. (But it has Vehicle combat! =p)

Bioshock = play and discard

Mass Effect = play and replay and replay and replay, take a break, replay, replay, replay until you die with the controller in your hand.

I would say Mass Effect.

buy both they are some of the best games xbox360 has to offer and while you're at it throw in GH3 and Assassins Creed also.

I never get bored of playing bioshock, it's one of my favorite games ever.

I think Bio has more intriguing characters (Ryan) than ME (Saren), but as for just the story, I think ME's is better, grander in scope and just feels a lot cooler to save the universe, as opposed to fighting in a city noone knows about anyway. Don't get me wrong, Bio is the quality of game that come around once every 5 years or so, but just based on story ME as it beat.

On a side note, and I know there is/are thread(s) on this topic, but why did Bioshock not win GOTY? This is why there are so many sequels, copycats, and clones in this industry and movies, Proven commodities always work, and new properties may/may not work but are certainly less known.

So i guess the better one is Mass Effect, i love it so many planets to explore, missions to do, side missions to do and voice acting is great and so is the conversation system and if your a fan of gears of war combat ME is deffenitly your thing, pure fun!(read my review)

Mass effect hands down. ALot of content and tons of hours of replayability. Underrated here on Gamespot in my opinion it shouldve got at least a 9.the_emporer
