If you have to get 1 get HL2 defo since you get 5 games in one and theyve spent 10 years perfecting it.

Tough call, but I can tell you that you're going to get a ton more milage out of the Orange Box. BioShock is an unforgettable experience, but it simply won't last as long as Half-Life 2. ... and Episode 1, Episode 2, TF2 and Portal.

Haha, well said.

As for the games, that's a tough choice. BioShock is an amazing game, but the Orange Box offers a lot more content for your money, and considering it sounds like you don't get games too often, that may be a good thing. BioShock offers you an amazing singleplayer experience for 20-30 hours while HL2 offers you 3 singleplayer experiences, a puzzle game in Portal, and further replay value in Team Fortress 2.

Both are definitely quality games, but if you think you won't get another game for a while, HL2 may be your better choice. You can always get the other for Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanza, or whatever it is you celebrate.

The Orange box, without even a second thought. Bioshock is a really fun shooter, with a well written story, but in my opinion, Half-life 2 is probably the best fps game ever made, and easily beats Bioshock. That's just one reason why you should get the orange box, aside from the fact you literally get massive bang for your buck. I've already bought the orange box over steam, but just because I love half-life 2 so much, I'm going to eventually rent it for 360 and play it over again.

If you can only get one, get the Orange Box. Make sure down the line you don't forget about Bioshock though, it's an excellent game.

I rented BioShock from GameFly and finished it awhile back but I will be buying The Orange Box cause you get so much in it that it is to hard to miss. BioShock was a great game so renting it might be a good idea for you if you can't buy both.
