Rent, 8/10, because the gameplay gets a little repitive, and it's really not that long for a single player only game. It's a really good game though, but it's a rental.

if you like deep, immersive games with both violence and a creative storyline. Bioshock is for you.

definite buy. 9/10 because the story is unmatched and original. and will take you twoplay-throughs to get all the achievements.

I would definetly buy it. It didn't win X-play's game of the year for nothing. It has really good replay value, an excellent story, i mean. You might not wanna go play it again right after you beat it, but a month after beating it, you'll def. wanna go try it on hard. 10/10 because the only shooter on three sixty that tried to be different, and it was successful.

8/10.........Really good single-player game with a great environment, and cool weapons and enemies. Although I'm not a multi-player fan, having MP would make this game go a lot further. But either way, it's definitely a BUY!!!!

Buy, 9/10, because the gameplay is over the top, a lot of varied missions, open world, new plasmids now, the story and atmosphere draws you in and it'll last you about 15-20 hours.

Buy if you don't mind the fact that there is no multiplayer.

Bioshock is one of the most immersive games to date, as far as the storyline and environment go. Fantastic game. 9/10

I went back and played it again. I may even go back a third time to get all the achievements plus take a look at the new DLC.

8/10 and I would say renti t. The game is overrated. It is easy as hell. It's atmosphere wears off long before the game is over. It's story is cliche and predictable and it isn't as deep as it was advertised to be

rent it trust me bcuz game will only last tops 20 hours you wont play it any more after 2 times so theres no reason to keep it would be a waste of 30-40 bucks to buy it when you can spend 5-7 bucks for the rent

BUY!! This a wonderful game with a great story and environment. I got it for Christmas and haven't hardly been able to take it out of the console. I also think it's pretty long for a shooter, especially when compared to other recent shooters.

If you read the ones who say rent you know they are trolls. I dont have the game, however I did play it and its great, getting it sometime this month. For my review for the 2hrs I played it I will give it a 10/10 simply because it was fun, didnt find nothing wrong with it to make it a 9 or lower. May be different when I buy the full game because of replay value or other things but the game is fun and you def. should buy it

I give it a 9.75/10. The game is brilliant... it is exactly the kind of awesome single-player experience that I knew the Xbox 360 would be perfectly capable of, and certainly a lot more clever and interesting than 't3h h4l0' has become. It is technically possible to get all the achievements in a single playthrough, but with a game like this, that doesn't feel like it's the point of playing... not to mention that you'd need to go by some FAQs and/or guides to be able to surely locate every single thing. I would say buy it, because games like Bioshock don't come around very often, and buying it grants the ability for devs to be able to continue making such awesomeness as this.

It's hard to say because it depends on what you like or don't like. I didn't like the game because of the dark atmosphere and I wasn't a fan of the enemies in the game. However, those things make the game perfect for other gamers.

I actually wouldn't buy it. I bought it on release, and it wasn't really that fun at all. Its pretty generic if you looking for shooting.

The real question that will determine how much you'll enjoy Bioshock is: How old are you?

Bioshock is full of deep narrative, atmosphere, and themes of morality. It's hard to appreciate if you're a kid who likes blowing things up and games that are "THE DOPEST!!!". Definitely a game aimed at mature, adult gamers. Whereas, if you want to shoot things and blow stuff up, you should definitely check out Halo 3, or Call of Duty 4 on the same system (most of the people on this forum).

That being said, Bioshock is one of the best games I've ever played, and is garnering Game Of The Year from many sites already.

Actually, I was looking for a deep and engaging story with an awesome atmosphere, but bioshock just didn't have it for me. I did like games like Kotor and ME, I was looking for an RPG with shooter elements in Bioshock.

I'm 14. I just picked up Bioshock two days ago and it IS the the most immersive game I have ever played.I almost fall out of my seatwhen a spider splicer jumps out ofnowhere and starts attacking me. My chest starts pounding when I see agiant Big Daddy with a little sister following it approaching.Thestory is top-notch, with a complete and interesting backstory aswell that you uncoverby finding theaudio files scattered throughout the place.I've been taking my time with it, so it's most likely going to last me a longtime since Iam trying to get all the achievements (except thefindALL the audio files one and the go throughthe game without dying once on the hardest difficultyone- those are impossible). I probably won't play it again after I beat it sheerly becauseit's too immersive and thati get WAAY to hyped upwhile I play it. Is it worth it to buy it? Most definitely. Every part of the game isperfectly designed and it's very unique. If yourent it,you most likely won't take ur time and will miss out on theexperience. Bioshock is amazing.

If you're willing to score a game an 8-10 out of 10 then it is worth a buy. I don't understand why people feel a game is only worth buying if it has replay value. It's like a movie or a book. Even though you know the outcome, who says in a year or so you wont wanna experience it again? Especially since this game is really worth it and deserves the support.

Great theme. 1950's steampunk that takes place in a city under the sea. Strong swearing, dead bodies, and blood makes it feel real. The story makes you want to know what happened down here. Characters are very interesting. Quotes are both funny and rememberable at times. Good music. Both game and 1950's music to set the mood. Beautiful graphics. Game can give you a challenge if you choose not to upgrade. You can get all but two achievements for it on your first time through (like I did) so it will boost your score.

9.5/10
