There's an update? I never realised because i'm never on live when i play it. And that is actually a relif. I thought the freezing i was experiencing was only my problem. For you guys does it happen sometime when you try to pick up a tonic/plasmid or harvest a little sister? that's when mine get screwy sometimes.
Anyway, maybe its to fix the issue on widescreen? Or is that only Pc's? I dont know, I have an SDTV

Nope. 2KGames said they are going to find a way to fix the resolution on the 360 version, so you have a better FOV (field of view), not only on the PC version.
That wierd about the freezing i have a launch system and i am on my 2nd play through with no freezingstrahd01
yeah because its not a problem with the system its a problem with the game it runs fine for the most part but for me when i reached fort relic it just started freezing up every couple of secs
It's funny because BioShock has never glitched or froze on me but after I updated today, the game performed horribly. So bad that I had to stop playing.:( Maybe clearing my cache will help.
I think that the update fixed the lag issue with the game. For some consoles (from what I have read) Bioshock lags at some parts, like during combat. This started to happen to me but after the update it is not an issue anymore. BIOSHOCK RULEZ

Exactly the opposite for me. Not once did I have a problem until after I updated today, then all of a sudden the game would lag really bad. Not just during combat, but diaries, item looting and pretty much all of the time. Hopefully it was a fluke.:(
I think the only time BioShock ever lagged for me was when I decided to invent about 60 machine rounds at once...when I was already full. Itlagged for a second, and then they all shot out and pushed me all the way into the wall across the room. Pretty hilarious.

That happened to me when I was creating items also.
This game worked fine for me at first but now it freezes for a few seconds constantly. It will also totally crap out on me which makes me have to restart the console. It won't completely crap out on me after I restart but it still freezes. It is very aggravating and I have come close to shipping it back to GameFly but I have decided to try and finish it.
Bioshock only slows up on me when im picking up tonics and thats the only time it has ever froze on me when i was picking one upRasjr20
Heh funny that, the first time I played it and got my first plasmid when you stick the hypo in you it gave me the 3 red lights it did this twice, but now they've magically disappeared and I've never had freezing and I'm harvesting every little sister as well weird?
2K actually released a solution for those getting the lag.
Mine was freezing up every 10 seconds or so but once i cleared my cache it stopped completly.
Hold LB and RB the moment the game loads up and sit through all the cutscenes till you reach the title screen and it should of cleared it and your lag will be gone.
So is the general consensus that the update effed up more than it fixed? I recently replaced my Premium with an Elite and lost my saves so I have to start over but if the game was messed up by this update I see no reason to start all over again.

Well there is a prob with Bioshock and the 120gb hdd,might of fixed that (Doesn't happen to everyone but sometimes the cache in the 120gb HDD can cause issues with Bioshock)
