With all the hype for Bioshock, how many of you are actually going to buy it? I ask this because I've heard mixed feelings on the subject of buying Halo 3 over Bioshock. I personally think Bioshock will crush Halo 3 with originality and gameplay. I could care less about online or co-op play at this point because so many games promise multiplayer and end up being a half-cocked disaster.
i'm gonna wait and let you guys be the guinne pigs. it dosn't take long to know if a game deserved the hype. i'll get it eventually, but player reaction is going to determine whether it's sooner, or price cut later.
Its an awesome game... A lot better than the score it got here... Very fun and all,thanks for the tip. Its my favorite game currently beside Harry Potter.
i'm waiting on a demo.. which i heard there may not be one, which kinda sucks cause no demo probably will = no buy from me (or atleast not untill after a few other games anyway)
I definitely plan on buying it. I just don't know whether I get Bioshock at release, and Blue Dragon a few weeks later, or Blue Dragon at release and Bioshock a few weeks later. Decisions...
im starting to loose interest in this game dont know why, it just doesnt appeal to meas much as it did before. right now its 50-50 if il buy it or not.
Of cource! I think that both are must buys though. Halo 3 is one of the only games that will deliver on it's promice of amazing online play. I think that the Beta only support that.
Im far more excited about Bioshock than Halo 3 myself. I wont be getting either during launch day, since there are many other games that interest me a bit more. Bioshock looks to be the more original of the two tho, and definately something id be more into. Ill get it eventually.
Ohhhh man I hope Bioshock is a long single player game. Reeeeally hoping. Especially since it's a somewhat open world RPG.

I was on AVforums a while ago and a thread confirmed that the game is aiming for at least a 20 hour single player experience, this would make sense since its the meat of the game and the MP seems like add on.
Unfortunatly I havent saved the link for the thread, so its up to you to chose, but either way it will be 15 - 20 hours.
This is looking to be the most innovative SP FPS game im gonna play for a while, so I just hope it does it right.
there shouldnt be a conflict on weather to buy halo 3 or bioshock. they are separated by over a month. Also, they are not even the same genre so its not like you can really compare them.
I don't see me buying it, honestly doesn't look that great. They make too big of a deal out of really small things, like oh wow! You can like, set somebody on fire, and then jump in the water, and then you can electrocute them! I dunno, the whole using the environment thing just sounds like a bit of a gimmick. I hope I get proved wrong, the only thing that seems geniunely cool to me is the big daddy little sister stuff. From gameplay videos i've watched, your guns also look too... fantasy ish and weak,enemies don't seem very intelligent... I dunno. I want to be proved wrong. And I know I'm gonna get bashed, but I don't care.

But after you beat the game, then what?? I agree that it does look like an awesome, and innovative FPS but once your done gettin all you can out of it, it's just gonna start collecting dust. Halo 3 is gonna have that thing we call replay value (hopefully). But im still buying Bioshock. Just next month ill grab Halo, then the next month after that it'll be GTA4... All those are must buys

you play the game a different way, you dont kill the little sister, you do kill them ect ect

I think BioShock is going to be one of the must-buy games for the 360, but seeing as it's a different kind of game that Halo3, I'm not choosing one over the other, I'm getting them both. Of the games that end up half-cocked doing multiplayer, the Halo franchise is not amongst them--I've always expected and gotten top-flight online play from Halo, and the Halo 3 beta was really excellent. But as far as BioShock giving us something original, that's totally true. The visuals are amazing and the whole idea of these Big Daddies being "roaming boss battles" is really inventive.

On release date for me :P But I'd go with blue dragon if I HAD to choose.
I find it hard to believe Bioshock will crush Halo 3 in any category. I would get it if it wasn't for all the other great games coming out. If you have the means, I vote yes, you should buy it!
