whay are they realeasing SO MUCH DLC so close to each other? this is rediculous.

I mean, it's good that there is LOTS of replay value, but come on. there is as much DLC out to have payed for at least one-third of the game price...

Did you know that DLC is completely optional? If anything, its a good thing they are releasing more DLC. That way you have more to choose from, and the hardcore fans will stay happy.

This

Also they made a version that had all of the content to this point in it

I mean Bioware should be praised for this. They launched the game allowing everyone to get all the content no matter what platform or version they have and then they follow it up with a well priced expansion.

I see greatness in this, no problems

yeah, but this is a load of BS. I now it supplies players with lots of new content, but if there is almost $20 worth of DLC already released, why couldn't they have delayed the game a few more weeks and just given us download codes? oh well, though, whenever I decide to buy DA:O and get more MS points I'll have something to spend them on lol

The game has more than 60 hours of content already, how are they ripping you off? The game is one of the longest games this gen without DLC.

They arn't ripping anyone off, I have no intention of buying this or any DLC unless they develop a proper expansion pack. I think the community will develop better stuff once they figure out the toolset, although that doesn't help you...

Is Warden's Keep worth downloading? I have the MSP but not sure if it's worth it when I can download other stuff. This DLC also doesn't sound like it's worth it..

Just give me ME2 instead of useless DLC!

Your saying they have already released a new version of the game with the DLC on it less than a month after its release?

If you don't want it then don't buy it. The best way to tell these companies to stop doing this is by not buying it. I'm sure EA pressured them into finishing the game up before they had done everything they wanted to so now they're forced to sell it as DLC.

That's a smart plan. I mean, I waited on Fallout 3 and oh hey, there's a GotY edition with $50 worth of extra content on it. I also waited on Mass Effect and oh hey there was a Platinum Hits version that included a ton of DLC on a second disk.

With the amount of DLC on DA:O I'll just wait on it and get it when the content is all packaged in and if it isn't than I just won't get that extra content.

The problem is that could take 12-18 months and the game is really good. My advice is don't play it or you'll want to buy it now.

Expect lots of DLC. If what the guy at my EBgame told me is true Bioware will apparently support DA:O with DLC for 1 year...or 2 i cant quite remember what he told me.

if anything, we kind of owe bioware this money.... if they sell me a game that lasts me 60 + hours when most others last about 20, then I got a deal... The only time I have a problem with dlc, is when the original game is ridiculously short and there are frequent dlc's

So long as the game ships with a respectable amount of content who cares if they release a bunch of DLC? So long as it doesnt feel like you need the dlc to complete the game.

Totally agree. Me, I'm happy they are releasing proper DLC at all. They promised us full DLC support for Mass Effect and that turned out pretty bad.

Can't wait to get it!

I see your point. I just think it was a slap in the face that they released their first additions of DLC on launch day.

How is this BS? More DLC means you have more to pick from, and get the one that seems most fun to you. They aren't ripping people off. Ripping people off is telling people a game will be "bigger, better, and more badass", and then the game turns out to be one of the largest disappointments of all time. But they already sold their millions of copies, so who cares if the whole "bigger, better, and more badass" thing was a total lie?

There was so much DLC at release I decided not to purchase the game and now there is even more coming in a few weeks. I'll wait for some sort of game of the year/gold edition with all 20 DLC (just joking about the 20 DLC but it will be up to three just weeks after release).

How is this a problem, Bungie, Epic, etc release crappy maps for $10 why should this be viewed as any worse?

the only time i felt bioware ripped me off was when i finished the original ending to fallout 3... its like, wow did you guys have to decided to either make a ending or sit around and laugh at the bugs in the game and they laughed at bugs then threw an ending in 10 min before they started up the press to print the game... then write a decent ending and sell it to me later... shame on you lazy devs... shame on you.

Bethesda>Bioware.....especially now that Bioware was purchased by EA.

...No, Bethesda has made games that have ranged from crap to very good (Oblivion, Fallout, and Call of Cthulhu). But they have done nothing revolutionary with their games. Bioware has made some of the greatest games of all time with the Baldurs Gate series and KOTOR, created great community modding tools with Neverwinter Knights, morality system with KOTOR, the way characters talk to each other in Mass Effect, and now are making an MMO with voiced characters and the ability to change your story by treating an MMO like it is also a roleplaying game that can be experienced with friends. The only thing that Bioware has made recently that stops short of excellent is the Sonic game for the DS. Dragons Age, Mass Effect 2, and KOTOR MMO, EA is obviously doing horrible things to the company.

Bethesda only published Call of Cthulhu which makes their last 3 games Fallout 3, Oblivion and Morrowind. Higher rated than Bioware's last three (Dragon Age, Mass Effect, and Jade Empire). The modding communities on the PC for Bethesda's games dwarfs Bioware's. And have you seen pictures/video of the Star Wars MMO? Huge disappointment.

the game already comes with a ton of content. If they wanted to they could release nothing and that would be perfectly fine. Now if the game was only 10 hours long and the DLC was coming out fine its a rip off but thats not the case.

I agree. Although Bethesda has made awesome games such as Fallout 3 and Oblivion, it hasn't done anything incredible to the RPG world. BioWare has set the tone for RPGs with every release. Bioware>Bethesda.

I think it' s great their releasing DLC (assuming it doesn' t suck) I' am sick of developers promising lots of DLC and then releasing crap or not giving us anything at all.
