I work at Best Buy, but they have the ad locked away...
Haven't had a look at it yet, but they have been gearing for Black Friday for some time.
I am curious to see the ads from all stores.

I've been saving up some money for a while now.

^^ The day after Thanksgiving (hence a friday), and also one of the biggest shopping days of the year. (not sure why they call it black friday instead of green friday though)true_apolloThey call it black Friday because it is the beginning of the period where retailers are in the black (i.e. turning a profit).
But people first started calling it Black Friday because of all the heavy traffic on that day, because of all the shoppers. well you get the point.
If you want to see the Balck Friday sale ads, most of them are already posted on bfads.net or blackfridayads.com. I know they already have best buy, circuit city and target posted on their sites. But some stores, such as Walmart, have threatened them again with lawsuits, so they have removed those stores ads for now.
Also, the reason it is referred to as Black Friday, is because it is traditionally the day that stores finally post a profit for the year. So the stores go from being in the red (losing money) to being in the black (making money).
Well wouldn't the Forza M:UA bundle pretty much be the deal for this year when it comes to consoles?
I checked that TGIBlackFriday site and it looks like the console deal is gonna be the Guitar Hero 360 bundle
^^ The day after Thanksgiving (hence a friday), and also one of the biggest shopping days of the year. (not sure why they call it black friday instead of green friday though)true_apolloblack friday is the day after thanksgiving, which marks the beginning of the countdown to christmas. major retailers like to start off the holiday shopping season by giving MASSIVE deals on basically, everything. alot of the deals r 4 electronic devices, mp3 players, tv's, computers, clothes, VIDEO GAMES, ect. people wait in lines after their thanksgiving feasts and wait 4 the stores to open up at midnite. some ppl also choose 2 sell some of the stuff they buy on ebay since they bought at such a cheap price, resulting in huge profits. im just asking around 2 c if any1 knows any big video game deals
More people should know about this site

black friday is sick cuz u get cool stuff 4 cheapblack friday is teh gay what black friday really is is the day all the store employees gets the 3 existing laptops and the ebay sell whores camp crap 2 days before wearing diapers so they dont have to leave to take a leak.
they say store employees cant buy the stuff but that is bs i know people who work for best buy and also circuit city and there is always ways.
no point in camping something for black friday when someone who doesnt even want the item is camping it anywayahead of youjust because its cheap. ive seen people offer the cards they hand out for straight up cash just to get the money. its a waste of time.

I too work at Best Buy, and I've seen the ad... and it's not locked away. But as for posting a thread about the deals... you won't catch me doing that.
Here's the deal:
I have to be at work at 4:00AM on the DAY AFTER THANKSGIVING (you know... that holiday that's usually spent with family... you know, that's why they give you time off from school and such... so you can spend time with family) because of that stupid BLACK FRIDAY BULL****.
That means after Thanksgiving dinner instead of getting to spend time with my family, some of whom may not be around much longer, I get to spend that evening driving a few hours back home... Which means I probably won't get back home until after midnight. When you have to go to work at 4:00AM and your still up at 1, there's not much point in going to sleep seeing as I'd have to start getting ready to go to work at 3, then leave my place by 3:20 so I can sit and fight traffic all the way to the store. And the next day while the rest of my family is resting and spending time with one another? I'll be dealing with Black-Friday-Deal-Infested loonies...
So, I'm going to go ahead and say... I'm not trying to make the line of people waiting outside the door for us to open at 5:00AM any longer. Ya want the ad? Find it yourself.

Alright "wiimark" let me ask you something? Have you ever worked a retail job? If so have you ever worked on Black Friday? If you say yes I'm going to probably end up calling you a liar.
Just so you know (AND THIS IS COMING FROM SOMEONE THAT DOES WORK AT BEST BUY...):
Unless you have one hell of a good reason that you can't work on Black Friday, you work. If you're working you can't buy anything. Now let me ask you something... If a company is trying to make a profit... and generally speaking THAT'S WHAT RETAIL COMPANIES ARE TRYING TO DO, then why... WHY... would they allow an employee that's working to hold something back from a customer that's shopping and is ready to buy now? You seeing the light yet? If not let me let you in on a little fact... You know what happens to an employee if it is found out they are stashing away product for themselves, thus not allowing a customer the opportunity to buy the product... It usually costs you your job. Oh and if you are one of the employees that gets an afternoon shift, allowing you to shop in the morning... YOU WAIT IN LINE JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE. End of story.
I'm so sick and tired of people moaning and groaning that people that work at Best Buy and other places like it have it so great because when something new comes out they get first dibs or they have ways of getting it before anyone else. WRONG. You know how I got my Xbox360? I spent the day and night before the launch standing in line in the pouring down rain with the temperature in the low 30's... and I work at Best Buy.
Ignorance is bliss, no?
just google "Black friday deals" and look at those sites. There are some good ones, but nothing that really blows me away. jmartinez1983already did

I was watching the news this morning and they showed a Best Buy in Maryland that was doing sort of a mock Black Friday thing at their store where some employees were acting like customers.. It was pretty funny..

If you only knew... It's probably the stupidest meeting we have all year long... ESPECIALLY if you've worked on Black Friday before... I spent 3 hours at the store last Sunday and an hour this Sunday doing "dry runs"... the thing is "dry runs" don't even begin to reflect the chaos that is Black Friday... I'm petitioning for exemption from Black Friday/Tax Free/Christmas/etc... meeting from now on... After having worked with 3 different companies on 5 Black Fridays... I think I know how it works... Been at Best Buy for 2 of them... Friday morning at 4AM will make 3 times...
Best one was a couple years ago when an old lady at the front of the line busts through the doors because of some "amazing DVD player deal" she pretty much dove at the palatte containing upwards of 100 DVD players trying to get her hands on one... the best part was that after crashing through the DVD players, she hurt herself... She did something to her hip or leg or shoulder... details are blurry... anyway she ended up leaving the store in an ambulance so the hospital could check her out... WITH NO DVD PLAYER! HA!
