I know the 360 can get an HD player, and the PS3 has Blu ray, but whats the difference between them?

Nothing, just two different companies trying to make their format the next one to be widely used.

Mmmm. yeah. They're both basically the same.
Though, some people try and argue that Blu Ray scans more efficiantly, adnt herfore can have more memory on the disk or some crap like that...

Basically, right now, go with the player that suits you.
(I has HD player, and it has movies like Troy, 300, Bourne series, Van Helsing, etc. So its great.)

I think blu ray can hold more stuff on one disc, but I've also heard that HD actually looks slightly better. I don't really think there is a difference.

to be honest, I always thought the Hd DVD looked better. Maybe it was just the blu ray movies I have seen (like 5th element, which looks pretty bad). HD DVD sound is also considered to be a bit better. Blu Ray had higher capacity on its side, but HD DVD was said to have developed into a comparable capacity. HD DVD discs are also stronger, less likely to scratch or be damaged. Blu Ray discs have a very thin layer at the top that, if damaged, I think ruins or hurts the integrity of the disc.

I liked HD DVD better, but Blu Ray has won. we (I) should move on.
