So i went and rented blue dragon and to my suprise it is a 3 disc game... I just started playing and I am about 8 hours into it. Still on the first disc LoL.... And so far the game is pretty dang good... If you like turn based role playing games such as Final Fantasy then this game is pretty sweet! I have not beat the game yet but I know for sure it is at least a 7... Two worlds should have got the 6...

Right on!

I'm in love with this game, too. Brings back a TON of FF memories...

I put in Blue Dragon, watched the first cutscene, and then turned off the game because of the staggering amount of JRPG cliches. I'm so sick of tiring of a little kids who have to save the world and a spikey-haird protagonist who shakes his fists every couple minutes and says "I won't give up!".

Two Worlds, on the other hand, I liked.

(Note: I played these games on an alternate account)

I have to agree with the TC,I've only enjoyed maybe 5 rpgs since the ps1 era and they are Morrowind,FF12,Radiata Stories and Kotor 1, and BD reminds me when Rpgs didnt suck.

Riiiight... like I said if you like "turn based" role playing games you will love this game... Not only that FF12 was not even that great obviously... what award did it win and when? The only reason people played that game is because it has Final Fantasy in the title. And even then they took away some of the key things people liked about final fantasy... FF12 came out and people said oh yeah great game right... then the game was swept under a rug and forgot about... ALL I AM SAYING IS THAT BLUE DRAGON IS UNDER RATED I NEVER SAID IT WAS THE GREATEST GAME EVER OR ANYTHING... worth playing is all...

Right and like you said you never even played the game... You can't dog a game until you play the actual game... All that you said in your post is exactly what the review said for this game on gamespot, people tend to think for themselves sometimes man...And trust me i played two world and it is crap... the first 8 hours of blue dragon is worth all of two worlds...

This game was basically bashed in all the reviews I've read, after making a game like Chrono Trigger you'd really have to reshape the genre to come out with something better. Either way, this game has all the appeal of the classic RPG.

Warning! Some possible spoilers here.

Yep, I'm loving BD a lot. Just one thing though I spent like 20-30 hours in disc 1, (maybe 15 in story and 15 in levelling) managed to level up Barrier Class to 50 now every mobs in path is like dead lol easy levelling now, but just in 1/2 day I managed to finish disc 2 :( (Must be some thing I missed) I went straight north immediately after Jibral Castle (although there could be a possible town south east of it) and then story went on to 3rd cd that fast. Anyway, after I can warp in places again, I'll farm and gonna visit that SE town.

You got to love bd, in the third disc, there will be a new option for each char...sort of like a limit break in FF7, awesome cinematic when you release the 'inner' strength. :)
