best sniping to me is def COD2. in most other games you dont get the same feeling when sniping, and seeing how 1-2 shot kills in COD2 it makes it that much more awesome, not to mention OMG NOSCOPE HOLY SHIAT
LoL, I'm pretty sure SOCOM has the most unrealistic sniping, jump snipes are not really realistic. Ofcourse, it's too damn fun and rewarding when you jump snipe someone in close range or across the map. But I'd go with COD2, really good sniping.
half life needs a sniper rifle....the cross-bow does not cut it. Havent played Episode I & II though.....maybe they added it, I guess I will find out this week (cant wait)!
The only game I could ever get the sniper rifle to work was TimeSplitters 2. Its not that all other games sniper rifles were broken, I'm just gash at using them.

think that counter strike is ace, but the awp spoils it, but COD4 is easily the best, shooting undiscovered is cool. getting killed by someone whos undiscovered can really piss you off

Shooters need to get rid of the sniper rifle. The Sniper Rifle is the George W Bush of weapons: Only people who use them are too scared to get into the actual fight so they sit back in there own little scaredy cat zone.
They either need to get rid of them, or make them more balanced, like there needs to be more reload times between EACH shot, and the power of the sniper in many games needs to be changed so that only head shot are powerful, and any other shots are more like normal bullet hits....

Sniper Elite was an undreappreciated title that was all about sniping and was really good too,sniping people from helicopters in battlefield 2 modern combat was awesome as well

rubbish. watch anyone get drilled by a 50 cal then say it. a 50 cal to the chest = dead. I vote for ghost recon.
