Congratulations goes to Gearbox Software as their game has been completed for all platforms and will ship on time; there will be no further delays for this one. This makes Borderlands the only American RPG to be released in October of 2009 after Dragon Age and Alpha Protocol were delayed. It has been in development for years and it'll finally be released for sure on October 20. I can't wait.

People on the BL forum are celebrating the news...including the Gearbox devs who spam their own forum with ''ITS GOLD'' thread. :lol:

Congrats to Borderlands. Too bad it comes out the same month as UC2 and Demon Souls... I don't think i will be able to get it until Christmas. I have already put in dozens of hours into Demon Souls, I am not sure I will have time for another RPG until Dragon Age comes out.

I can see what he means, he probably mean ''get quest, shoot x guys x creature, get your XP, move on the next quest, repeat'' guns doesn't participate in not making a gameplay possibly not repetitive. It only add LOTS of variation. :lol:

i dont meat rain on your parade but how is that a great sig? :? its okay,but there is nothing special about it. I know, ill get plenty of hate, and i would criticize it, but that isnt the purpose of the thread. Now back to topic, already bought borderlands, just gotta wait till it unlocks on steam on the 26 :) im very hyped and hoping i wont be dissapointed like i was after i played fallout 3. Dante2710

I thought it looked repititive as well. Killing skags and bandits non stop. However Gamespot posted a new article on high level gameplay,, thers a lot more enemies that have never been mentioned b4. For those who were like me and think the game looks repetitive, you should definitely check out the article.

Here's a link to some footage of the higher level parts of the game. The gameplay they'd previously shown was all level 15 and under areas. The environments and enemies will vary as the game progresses. The weapons will never be repetitive, there are too many different kinds to find. As your character progresses you'll gain new skills to use like Lilith's Phoenix ability that will vary gameplay. This game wont be any more repetitive than any other FPS.

New Borderlands Gameplay Footage

Borderlands has finally gone gold? Good. Now get into my PS3 so I can start shooting Claptrap.

Borderlands looks awesome & everything tells me it's going to be as good as it looks, however I've not liked a single one of Gearbox's games so even though I do plan on buying Borderlands I will most likely wait 5 to 7 days after release to look over it more.

The only difference it has with 360 is a menu fully usable with a mouse, thats about it. I'd upgrade my PC just for BL but yea, i love my splitscreen with my friends. ;p

I am. I've got my pre-order payed off. I'll get Live and then wait until I can upgrade and see if the modding community is any good before getting the PC version.
