is it possible to fully get 5/5 on each of the skill tree boxes by the time you reach level 50 or should I be more careful with which boxes I choose to upgrade?

nope not possible

i think you only get 46 points to spend so you want to concentrate them on certain areas in order to get to the bottom of one tree.

No, it's not possible. You have to be more careful and even plan it out. You can always respec whenever you want for a small fee too. It's better this way because builds are more unique and you have to thinks about it. You can plan your builds here:

You only get 45 points (they start at level 5) and you get one point per level after 5. So no you cant max every tree.
