Borderlands Vs Fallout3

your opinions highly appreciated :P

Borderland is alright, but it just doesn't feel right with it's cartoon look because everything is outlined in black. In my opinion Fallout 3 is the better game.

I like Fallout 3 a bit better.

Borderlands if it was Borderlands vs. F:NV it would be F:NV i love iron sights and F:NV is so much better in every way IMO

Fallout 3 because I enjoy the paralyzing palm perk.

I like Fallout 3 better because you can actually talk to npc's instead of just running up to people like Dr. Zed and he gives you a job, then you come back and get a reward. Borderlands has some sweet weapons and you can use the iron sights unlike Fallout 3, but New Vegas has added sights to almost every weapon. Also, you can kill anyone you want in Fallout 3, all the random guys walking around in the towns like New Haven in Borderlands are indestructible. :(

While Fallout is a really good game, Borderlands got everything right from the start! Borderlands is AWESOME!

Of the two, Borderlands is the most fun and accessible imo. While Fallout 3 is the deeper of the two, the sheer loot, exploration and monster factor of Borderlands in Ridonculous! I beat Borderlands as a single player and I found it to be alot of fun despite claims that you needs friends to really enjoy it. NOT TRUE!! Plus, you can get the GoTY Borderlands with all the DLC included for $40 I believe!

Fallout 3 does everything that Borderlands does in a better way, except the Multi-PLayer/Co-op feature. Definitely the better game!

I never got into Borderlands like I did Fallout 3. Fallout 3 is amazing in my eyes and I was obsessed while playing it. Borderlands never achieved that level with me. Fallout 3 all the way!

Borderlands, the FPS element is much smoother, fallout falls a bit short on gameplay.

Fallout 3 is slightly better

I like both but they are different types of games.

When you break it down, Borderlands is a collecing and looting type of RPG whereas Fallout 3 has a deeper story, more complex missions, etc...

It depends on what mood I'm in...I voted for Fallout 3.

Although both games rank in as two of my favourite games, Fallout 3 is a better game. However Borderlands is unbelieveably fun, and more than worth picking up with all of its DLC.

Both are great games, and while I played Borderlands considerably more, Fallout 3 is the better game.

If you plan to play alone get Fallout. Borderlands loses a lot in single player.Second_Rook

Yea Borderlands definitely has more action and the coop is fun in its own right, but the story and immersiveness of Fallout 3 is epic.javafriek

I would agree here. It's a close call no doubt and I throughly enjoyed both titles, but Fallout 3 is the better of the two for me.

I'd have to go with Fallout 3 because it is an amazing game with so much incredible things in it. The DLC is amazing as well as the normal campaign. I got borderlands and yet it got boring after awhile, seemed as if nothing new to do. I got the first 2 DLC packs, never even beat either of them they were so monotonous. Id easily pick Fallout 3 over Borderlands any day ^_^ But dont get me wrong, Borderlands was a good and fun game for awhile. It just slipped away...

For me Borderlands is way better than Fallout 3. Here's how I would compare them though.

I'd say if you like the kind of RPG where you can spend a lot of time customizing your player, with a deeper story (traditional RPG) Fallout 3 is your game.

If you like to just get in and play, and upgrade on the fly (action game with RPG elements) Borderlands is your game.
