I'm looking to pick up a new game and, I was wondering what give me the better bang for my buck? What title would offer the most replay value. I want to play a title that will take more than 20 hours to beat. I know botht titles offer good game play I'm just wondering what would last longer.

Both games last over 100 hours, but Borderlands also have co-op and competitive modes if you're interested in it.

^ So it is probably best just to wait a few days for Borderlands to come out?

Eh, I thought Fallout 3 was alright, and I bought all 5 DLC packs, but I wouldn't really recommend the game to anyone. I have yet to play Borderlands, but it looks like it will be a lot more enjoyable then Fallout 3 was.

I'm really psyched for Borderlands, but Fallout 3 is one of the best games so far this generation, bar none. If you're able, I'd get both. You could always just get the regular version of Fallout 3 and then just pick and choose which DLC's you want. (IMO you only really need Broken Steel)

anything related to fallout 3 should be the top priority. I'm going to buy borderlands but I'm sure fallout is a better game.

Am I seriously the only one doesn't think BorderLands looks good? Seems like a FPS grindfest to me. You kill stuff (combat really doesn't look deep at all) and then you pick up a gun. Repeat a billion times. It would have been way more interesting if they added customization and armor.

I'd recommend Fallout 3 GOTY because it includes all 5 expansions AND it's a damn good game! Couldn't tell you about Borderlands because it's not out, but I don't care much for it either.

Except it does have that, there's videos of it too. It's still part RPG, not 100% FPS.

You can customize characters, guns and vehicles.

Go with Fallout 3 GOTY, it is a steal since it came with all 5 DLC's, but I recommend buying Borderlands next.

Visual armor? No, just shields. And in that 30 min coop demo on gamespot they said no weapon customization. Do you have a link or anything?
