Im sick and tired of the same old COD. And halo 3 is getting boring aswell. Reach doesn't come out for along time. Does anybody know of any new FPSs that I can Sub for COD and halo?

Maybe its time for a genre change. For a long time I was a huge FPS guys, but lately they just haven't been doing it for me. Don't get me wrong I still love the occasional frag fest but I've been getting into RPGs lately. Its a nice change of pace. Plus if you still want a shooter kind of thing. Give Mass Effect 2 a try, it seems like a RPG shooter, or come to think of it try Borderlands. Basically these are long games that you may not get bored of quickly.
Yeah, lately, I been bored with Shooting games. I still love Halo 3, and I still play it from 2 years to this day, but Im getting bored with the game. Modern Warfare 2 was a huge disappointment IMO, and like bungiehalo said, I been getting into RPG's, and other stuff over Shooters lately. Don't get me wrong, I love shooting games and I will, forever and ever, play them at times, but I just think It's nice to see a change. The only game Im enjoying so far as a Shooter is Battlefield: Bad Company 2. The demo was a lot of fun and I can't wait to get this game later this year.
Says the MW2 union recruit lol.How can a man get bored of COD but if you are then try Battlefield.

It is the epitome of FPS gaming this generation, nobody can take that away from the franchise...its just that MW2 didn't live up to COD 4, when IW made COD 4 they set the bar EXTREMELY high, MW2 had to be amazing. If you're like me, and think Call of Duty is pretty much the epitome of traditional FPS-gaming this generation, I'd probably recommend just playing a different sort of game for a while. You'll eventually come back refreshed.

I'd say it lived up to CoD4 plenty. If both CoD4 and MW2 came out on the same day, I'd pick MW2 easily.
Yes, it can be glitchy(although I *rarely* run into these glitches), but other than that, I think its a more balanced, customizable and rewarding experience than CoD4 was. Maybe thats notenough for some people, though, as I can see how some people can get burned out on a game that has the same core gameplay as itstwo predecessors, ya know?
