Braid = GOTY?

I would love to see this game in contention for Game of the Year...honestly it is one of the best games ever done in the history of gaming (and I have been an avid gamer for 20 years) all in a nice package for $15...IMO it is what games SHOULD be...a blend of artistic design, gameplay, story telling, innovation with a strong historic foundation, and motif (theme and musical score) that VERY few games ever get to the level of regardless of production value.

Well It would deserve a nomination, but I doubt it will happen (sadly). It's better than most game I've played last year. Mainly because it's too "indy". It's not the best game ever, but it's rare that a game blend gameplay and story with that efficiency (The fact that all the story is about correcting your mistakes and that in game you can rewind time).

Braid is an incredible game. The price tag is absolutely worth it. The only reason why I can see someone not liking this game is that he does not like puzzle game.

On an artistic standpoint, it's the most valuable game I've ever played, and I played Okami, Shadow of the Colossus and even wannabe "art" like Passage.

I agree, it is an amazing game and a lot of people will not appreciate it for what it truely is. But this the 360 community afterall, guns, explosions and big sweaty man on man muliplayer action first and foremost.

Does it deseve goty? I honestly don't care, but for the record, it won't even be nominated. Hate to say it, even though it is a fantastic game it won't get the recognition it deserves. Ask yourself this, do indie games ever get the limelight? no, exactly. TC, enjoy it and have fun.

GOTY has to be given to a game, that is the best in all aspects than the competition. Braid is excellent but also damn short. If it was longer, i think it could have been nominated, but like it is now, no chance. I hope there will be a new award, like Live Arcade Game of the Year. It would most definitlywin that award.

Please, I haven't played the game but I can tell you right now that a 2D platformer isn't gonna be the game to beat all games, AKA "flawless."

I tried the demo for that, and there is nothing special about it. It's mario with an unlimited number of lives. Oh yea, give the character a suit, and grab puzzle pieces. whoopdeedoo. I really don't know how it got a 9.5mohfrontline

Get past stage 1. It's the way time plays into the game.

For example, in World 4, when you walk foward, time goes foward, and when you walk backward, time goes backwards. It's a fresh twist.

Plus the ending is incredible
