Brink Local Co-op?

I'm having some issues. I was told you can do Local Co-op (on one Xbox) with a friend. I can't figure it out, can anyone help me out?

It should be on the back of the case whether you can play local or not.

The game is awful no matter how many people you play it with. I don't mean that as an attack, either, only as a warning so you aren't disappointed later. Not sure it has local co-op, though.

I was told on the Brink Forum before it came out that there was no local Co-Op.
