hey my 360 just broke like a month ago, I would think this is normal for some people to have it but when i asked my friends, they all had broken xbox 360's, 5 of my friends have 360's and all of them broke including mine, and its not just with friends too, every store i know that demo stations of the 360 are broken too, I mean cmon this is just down right pathetic for microsoft, i know they wanted to be the first to have the system but I wouldnt of cared if it came out earlier, its a great system, it just failure rate is downright horrible.

Im pretty sure most of you know what im talking about, lol a couple days agoi was at EB Games looking around, and a kid and his father come in, the kid goes and tries to play the xbox 360 but isnt working, the kid says why isnt it working? And the dad says because its an xbox 360. That pretty much made the people around laugh.

ANYWAYS!! i just sayin what i thought, so what are your guys thoughts on these increasing breaking rates? How long have you had a 360 or how many did you have to get replaced?

They aren't increasing they're decreasing. Anyway i don't care i just play my wii,go on the internet,or go to a friends. Not a big deal in my opinion. Although i do dislike the failure rates.

BINGO!!! look at the display, and tell me where the air intake is, and if it is good enuogh to actually remove the hot air coming out of the system. My Eb games, is lacking the air exchange the 360 should be getting. thats why if you put it in a entertainment unit, or stand it on its side, the cold air intake wont get the air required to push through. Mine is in an entertainment unit, and i tilt the intake to the front when i play, cause it was picking up the hot exhaust, and pushing it through again. since i started doing that, i havent had a single crash on my system. before that, it crashed a few times, and i am an ELITE.

I have had four 360s so far which consists of my original launch console and three replacements a.k.a. refurbished consoles. All of my consoles died from RROD except for my most recent replacement which was manufactured in 2007. My current 360 is not technically broken in the sense that it is dead, but the disc drive is completely usless. Right now the disc drive will only read about a third of my collection of games and the rest just result in an "Unplayable Disc" error. The ones that do play also give this error but can be made to work by closing and opening the tray multiple times until it reads. I am actually waiting for the box to send it out which should be arriving shortly.

yeah, the failure stuff is garbage (GTA IV finally killed my console a few days ago), but the customer service is fairly excellent. i'm getting a free year of xbox live gold when they send my console back. so it's a pretty fair deal.
