I was watching a DVD the other day and half way through it the movie froze and the xbox said "cannot read media" so I open the tray and my DVD was scratched around the sides from my xbox. I decided not to put anything back in there for a day. Well today I put in a game for the first time since the DVD mess and my xbox won't read anything anymore. It still powers on just fine and signs into xbox live but the CD drive no longer reads anything. Is this enough for xbox to help me out or do they only help out if your xbox gets the 3 red rings?

Any help would be nice.

I kinda have a similar problem as you, execpt that my CD drive won't shut, and then I got one flashing red light. I called Microsoft up and they told me it was hardware failure, so I sent mine for repairs, and I think I might receive it tmrw, just in time for E3!!! And I suggest u do the same.
