I'm not sure how. I'm not sure why. But the little tip of my headset's plug is stuck inside the controller's slot for the headset. And it wont come out. I thought maybe plugging the head set in might make contact with the pin and allow me to talk as usual. but all I can do is hear, but no one can hear me. Any tips? This is like the second time this has happened to me and im sick of having to buy a new controller/headset.

Twice. Twice!? Really?

Nothing is going to fix the headset...And I'd be surprised if you could even get the piece out of the controller and have the port still work...

Twice? What are you doing to it.Try Tweezers, that's it if that doesn't work you're going to have to buy a new controller.

yeah...twice. :| the first time was few months ago though. but i ended up buying a black controller, so it was definitely worht it. Well I figured out how to get the pin out of the plug. just for future reference for anyone that has a similar issue, pop out the battery pack and behind and between the battery springs is the slot for the headset plug. If you push a push pin carefully through the hole (from the outside of the controller, not from the battery pack area), you can push the pin into the battery area. then you just pull it out with tweezers.

That just saved me from having to buy another controller.

same thing happened to me. I turned the controller upside down and jammed the headset back in and wiggled the headset. It eventually came out with the headset.

Just slowly and carefully take the controller apart and remove that sucka. Its not like the controller will cost 100 bones.

I don't think that the pin is magnetic.

Try taking into a hobby shop, or bestbuy. They could probaly take it out.

Djmaster214,

We are talking about just the tip of the pin connector, which is maybe only a few millimeters in length, and lodged so deeply and securely in the controller socket you can't even see it.

To remove mine, I had to remove the controller battery pack as hmking04 explained, so you can see the pin up inside the controller. I then used a sewing pin bent like an L to push the pin back out. I'm out one crappy headset, but at least not a valuable controller as well. Thankfully, it's an easy fix.

The little tip always breaks on me and that happened 2 times already. What i did is took battery off and there is a hole and i just used a toothpick and poked it out.

You can always hit yourself for doin it a second time or you can use tweezers, if that doesn't work just open it up.
