I want to get one of these games, but I want something that has astrong component to it, whatever it may be (single-player, muiltiplayer, replay value). I'ma big Star Wars fan, and a huge WWII buff. But, I have a lot of WWII shooters as well as other, but I also heard that Star Wars is reptitive. That said, I heard both were still loads of fun! What should I do?

Feedback?

Thanks

i honestly am not even going to go on about how much i really have been enjoying brothers in arms, and im on the second to last level, but instead i would just like to tell you how bad and repetitive and annoying star wars the force unleashed is. the game is good for the first few hours, you are continuously getting new force powers and upgrading them and going to new levels and its all good and fun. then the difficulty ramps up, and not in a good way, no in a bad and annoying way. for example snipers will start to **** you and will make you fall to the ground, then while you are on the ground big ironman looking guys will shoot you with rockets and at's or whatever the mechs are will shoot you too, there will be like 10 guys shooting you on the ground at once and you cant get up because they keep hitting you, and youre just like wtf are you serious? for a jedi you would assume you be pretty agile and get up a lot faster but you dont.

around this point in the game you start truly realizing that these controls and camera just dont work well enough for this game and they begin to just tick you off as well, especially the camera which you are constantly having to readjust which takes you away from killing people which you need to be killing people at all times or else you will die. then enemies start getting shields so you cant use your lightsaber attacks on them really. for example, those ironman people who are about 10ft tall have shields so you normally can only get one hit on them, which does no damage, and then they will punch you to the ground. but if you try hitting them from a distance with say a thrown rock via force grip they will shoot you with their rockets before you can aim and throw the rock at them because you cant move while using force grip which is another wtf thing.

so a lot of the enemies you can simply pick up with grip and throw like regular stormtroopers...just pick their whole body up and slam them into a wall, but these ironman guys you cant do that with. this makes absolutely no sense. well you may say they are too heavy for him to pick up in comparison to a stormtrooper but i say he freaking pulled down an entire starship with force grip!!!! so you cant tell me a stupid 10ft tin man cant be picked up. its just really frustrating. and thats only one example of many many many examples that i could go on and on about.

furthermore, you visit the same levels you did in the first half of the game for a second time in the second half of the game which is redundant and the enemies are exactly the same so they are tedious. some set pieces and puzzles like pulling down the starship just seriously tick you off. for example youll be pulling down the starship with grip but every 5 seconds another wave of stardestroyers or whatever they are called will come in, so you have to stop, kill all of them, and then pull the dumb thing in a little closer. you repeat this process for what seems like forever and you just begin to wonder why they even put it into the game.

the only redeeming factor about star wars the force unleashed is its story, which is extremely good, but im here to tell you that i had to force myself to finish the game. i even turned the game on easy in an attempt to get it over with faster but it was still aggravating to say the least and i wasnt even dying on easy. plus its short, less than 8 hours for me and if a game becomes annoying, repetetive, tedious, and aggravating within 8 hours then that is just plain sad.

i really have enjoyed brothers in arms a lot, its been a really nice suprise but both games are fairly short, bia hh is about 10-12 hours. so, i would say just rent them both and make your own decision. sorry that was so long but this is the first time ive really vented about star wars....and i just want to say again it was horrible!

I have STFU and i personally enjoyed. There are many features that will keep you playing the game over and over becasue achivments, game diffuclty, or an alt ending. Or just collecting costumes or light sabers it's fun but the game is sorta short.

makchady sounds like he just wasn't good at TFU. Only took me three waves of fighters to pull down the starship after i figured out what to do...(and for snipers, just use dash! big iron dudes=LS)

but honestly, I'm glad i split the cost of TFU with my dorm roommate, because i wouldn't say it lasts long enough for $60. i say buy it used or something.

On 1 hand, I adore history and I love tactical shooters.

On the other hand, Im a Star Wars geek.

HARD CHOICE!

Flip a coin, its the only way lol

Star Wars is a fantastic game, only hard part is the ending boss battle (I thought it was hard) and the damn Star Destroyer. They ruined that part of the game IMO

I'd suggest BIA Hell's Highway.

Just a warning though: the multiplayer sucks. But the fact that the single player is awesome, and you're not a one man army more than makes up for it. If you like WW2 shooters this a great change of pace from the COD style gameplay we're used to.
