The problem comparing these two games is that even though they're both based in WW2, and First Person Shooters, the core gameplay elements in each game are pretty different.
In CoD:WaW, it's more of a you're on your own (you do have a squad, but really on the harder difficulties they're useless) and for the most part you rely on yourself, very accurate shooting so on.
With Hell's Highway, it's very squad based and you have to rely on your squads that you control to provide suppresing fire so you flank or let one of the squads do the flanking. This makes the game a more tactical experience, but it can also be slower paced than call of duty games.
Graphics wise, I think they both look amazing even with different engines. For the story, I really enjoyed past BIA storylines, they added depth to WW2 games that others didn't. But CoD 4 had a very interesting storyline that kept me hooked 'till the end, so hopefully Treyarch will do the same.
So really it boils down to if you're more into a tactical or a fast paced shooter.
