Not sure if this is Canada only, but this looks like a great deal. Not sure if I'm going to buy it though. I'll retry the demo and figure out if it's right for me.

Sorry if this is old news

It is an action/RTs, if this does not intrigue you then you should walk away, however if it does, get it, you're getting one of the best games for nothing, the soundtrack, charectars, landscape, story are all amazing. My only complaint is that the campaign is a bit shorter then it should have been.

Wait... So if I loved SC 1 and Fable 2, is this game right for me? I also had a fad for heavy metal music a few years back... But what I'm worried about is that if the game is soo short, why not just rent it for $5 intead of paying $10 for the whole thing?

The demo doesn't show the RTS aspects, just a warning. And sorta to the first question, like you have a stage (your base) and thats where you make you troops, the goal is to destroy the enemys while defending yours, you get money to make troops by going to these fan geysers, and building a Merch Booth. Instead of the usual god view of an RTS, you play as the lead 'avatar' or charectar of that faction, so you can fight along with your troops. As the leader, you order your troops (duh), play guitar solos to use specail abilities (EX: Stop enemy unit production for short time), and then the ability to Double team with a unit and use stronger attacks then they would usally be able to use (ex: Thier attacks are stronger, or they become a drivable suicide bomber), or you can just fly i and attack with your axe, so thats the main feel of the game.

The heavy metal is thier, and as a heavy metal fan, I love it, a lot of the humor and references are metal related, but I know non-metal fans who still love it, and thier is still plently of non-metal humor. The campaign is a good medium length, I really enojyed the epic feel, and replay it every now and then, its just a bit shorter then it should be, because Double Fine ( the dev) had to cut the third act, and rush the ending, which is really the only downside. Multiplayer is fun, it takes a fe minutes to find a match, but there is generally new players like yourself, mixed with people who have been playing since launch. You can rent it to to see if you like, but I would strongly suggest a buy, at $10 it is a major steal!

Also, the game starts out more action oreinted as it introduces new concepts slowly, also the main story is open world that you explore in a hot rod you get at the beginning of the game.

Okay, I'll think I'll buy it, considering this full game is cheaper than most garbage on XBLA. Thanks for the advice!

The game starts out more action oreinted as it introduces new concepts slowlyBardock47
This is what put me off playing further, unfortunately. I loved the game, I still do, but I haven't been able to complete it since. When the game decided to change it's genre, I kinda got thrown off of it :(. You really should get it though, for that price it's a steal! it is also one of those games that seems to have surprised EVERYBODY, even if they went in thinking they wouldn't like it. I'd get it :D

I got stuck on this mission about half way through (I think). I have done every side mission etc. and to advance I need to finish this mission, and I just can't do it :(. It is a very strategic level and I just can't do it as they're not my kinda games.
