The darkness is really a must have. There's plenty of great budget games but that game kicks ***. One of the best stories in a shooter this gen in my opinion.
Mass Effect and The Orange Box are only twenty dollars. Lost Odyssey is just thirty dollars. And Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts is just forty dollars. All are great games, especially the Orange Box and Banjo.
I only buy platinum priced games, think about it. Rent the game, beat it. Then buy it wen it goes platinum. I just picked up Orange box for 19.99 and Condemned Criminal Origins for 14.99 *new*
And Bioshock, GRAW2, GOW, Dead Rising and many more are now at 19.99 or less.
By years end, Dead Space, Left 4 Dead and many more will be budget titles too.

Mass Effect is $20. And that kinda tees me off because I paid $65 for it. Still though you'd be HARD PRESSED to find a better 360 game for the money. Go ahead try... I dare you.
At Gamestop i seen orange box for 20 as well as burnout paradise and bioshock for 25... Oh and this past tuesday i got perfect dark zero for 4.99... Couldn't believe it that cheap... I think oblivion and mass effect is under 30 too
just buy oblivion, Lost odysey and mass effect. All which can be had for like 25 bucks each and they will hold you over till other big name titles will drop down in price because those games are so damn long. I'm play Lost Odyssey right now I got it for 20 bucks when circuit city was goin out of business and must say I'm enjoying it I don't know why it got all the flack it did
I got Mass Effect for $20 and it's the most fun I've had with a RPG since the first KotoR. You should give it a try if you like RPG's or sci fi themed games.

That's the only way to go. I also plan on getting most of my games at Platinum / Greatist HIts, but there are always those titles that you just have to pay extra for.
