I also had to use a hotmail.co.uk account but it didnt matter

when it asks for your address just put a US one in that you made up (I put 54 melrose place, beverley hills 90210 lol)

american tel nos are 10 digits so just put 555 and 7 other digits and it should let you register

thats all i had to do i think

Edit: dont forget to say no to gold accounts andjust go for silver so you at least get your free month of gold

Haven't had it long really, like I said mine only let me select hotmail.co.uk as well so I think you can still make fake accounts, I did a Japanese one as well
