I bought Bulletstorm yesterday and played it for a good 3 hours straight last night. So far, it's been worth every penny.
It's just ****loads of fun. Huge explosions, huge bosses, crazy weapons, potty humor, great pacing. It may not be the longest game around, but it really packs the craziness into the campaign. I'll definitely be playing through it again and again.
And to me, that's the way it's meant to be played. I really like the fun and challenge of trying to pull off new and different skillshots, going back to previous levels to try and get bigger explosions, more kills with one shot, etc.
Oh well, I think I'm starting to sound like Cliffy B right now. Suffice to say, I thoroughly enjoyed the game and recommend it to anyone that is also a fan of Vanquish or Duke Nukem-like games. But if you're someone who would rather have a longer game that has a more compelling story, with more, shall we say, 'traditional' FPS gameplay and dialogue (think COD, Halo), then Bulletstorm may not be the right choice for you.

Bulletstorm is a really good game(not great), but it is alot of fun and really funny!
I mainly bought Bulletstorm for the single-player campaign, because what little that I had read about the story it seemed really interesting and soo far I like it. I had recently found a setting in the options to turn off the skillshot messages that appear everytime you kill someone and this has now made the game much more enjoyable, that is atleast for me it did.

Hmm, that's interesting because when the game started and there were no skillshot messages, I was a little disappointed but I was very happy to see them return a little later in the game. Oh well, to each their own. :P

I don't like those skillshot messages while playing the single-player campaign because to me that has nothing to do with the story, and it seems like an arcade game with those messages on. I can't help it, but they bother me.

Wait, you mean that game had/has a story, maybe I missed something when I played.

I personally find the names of the skillshots entertaining and it lets you know when you've completed a successful combo. It's personal preference, though. I have the Epic edition and fully intend to play the Gears 3 beta once I get through playing the SP on Bulletstorm. Otherwise, this game is another way to play games I enjoy with my boyfriend.
How does the Earlie Gow 3 beta access work, is it a Code or does just playing it enable the beta?
This will be a rental for me, times is hard atm.
