Seems real interesting what Bungie's doing here. I, for one, can't wait to try this game out first hand.

Thanks for the link but I'm going to use all my willpower not to read it. :P
I've come to find out that my favorite games are the ones I didn't hype so instead of hyping this like I did Halo 3 - I'm hopefully going to go into it not knowing too much. :)
nice find
i can't wait for halo reach it's the only game i'm 100% sure i'm buying on day one this year

Same here. I'm not looking!
I see what they are trying to do but I dont think its good for this game. I like the fact that Halo had true skill level it was different from all the other games because of it. raylewisnfl52It still does. They may be slightly different, but they are there and in full effect. This just seems like a replacement for the other "skill" level they added in Halo 3.

it's all about control and not over thinking words specially from 3 party's who are reporting info vs coming straight from the horse's mouth

I hope your right cause if they completely took it out then I wouldnt find it too challenging or team based. People will be more concerned about getting random kills and not really care about winning cause they know that no matter what they will end up leveling up. I know people will say its just a number but at least people take it more serious no to lose that number. Thats why in COD or even Battlefield I really dont care if I win or lose cause I know Ill still rank up since there is no true skill. Sure they can add more exp for winning like in Battefield which is 200 points but really 200 points is nothing. Also this is why you see more snipers and people that just go for kills instead or actually playing the game type, just to get those exp for them selves
Already saw but yeah seems pretty cool. Hopefully there will be alot of armor. Maybe new armor thrown in occasionally. I don't want to be able to earn everything in a month.
I really dig how they're letting you see your customized spartan in the campaign's cut scenes. I wonder how this will work in co-op though. Will you see the host's spartan or will each player just see their own spartan?
See thats why i like Bungie. they listen to their fans and at least make an effort to try new things in their games. I cant wait for Reach to come out.
I have always wondered why more games don't do this kind of thing. Honestly, I think almost any game that doesn't have a characterized protagonist, or even one who does, can use this type of system to customize your character. It adds a lot of replay value and keeps things fresh.
The only thing I would ask for is maybe to be able to customize the look (but not the efficacy) of your guns. That'd be nice too.

I find that the "horse's mouth" hypes more than the third parties since the "horse's mouth" is trying to move units. :)
That sounds neat. They're going to have to make a ****load of armors for you to be able to make anything remotely unique, though, with so many people playing.
The new service record sounds neat too. I wonder how many people will show up as "Booster."

Hopefully none. Halo isn't even fun to play anymore. I don't really like social, I like competitive gametypes but they're so pointless now. Every match has atleast one booster that just ruins the game.
Liked almost everything I read there, except for that highly ranked people will just be those that play a lot. That annoys me, it takes the pride out of being a high level.
It seems much improved from Halo 3. I like the idea of daily and weekly chalenges a lot, and I'm guessing that armor permetations are going to be something that is expanded upon through DLC or (hopefully) update. I really like the fact that you can choose whicever permetation you want depending on your cR. All in all, I think Bungie is trying to embrace the whole Xp craze without following the likes of Infinity Ward or DICE, so don't expect cR to be that big of a deal.
