so i burned my power cable over a month ago, almost 2, overseas. yes, i was stupid, i read the volts exactly backwards and thot the same way, and in all my smartness teaching my nephew how to plug in american things to the new powersource, he watched me burn my 360.

i took it to a shop and guy i knew, he looked at it and the cable was burned, i didnt take him the 360 tho... so... could the 360 be burned it self?

i went to gamcrazy, wehere they sodl a plug for 100 bucks.. lol

went to gamestop, and they did have a used one.. but the dude said there was 3 versions of it? and then i got worried. the brick weighed lik a pound or two, so i didnt bother bringing it back... but how do i know the wattage and stuff?

whats a good site to get this stuff of off? since ms doesnt warranty that part?

and... could my 360 really be fried itself?

1. To see if the 360 is burned itself, try taking apart the casing on the Xbox and look inside of it.

2. 3 different versions?

3. Try Google.

no, dont open the 360, cause that will void the warranty and then if it is actually broken you wont be able to send it in the three different versions he is referring to are the different sockets on the power brick, how many does yours have? cause im pretty sure there is one with 3, one with 2 and i dont know the last one. just take the brick in and see which one fits make sure u test the 360 with a new power cord first, that way you will know if the 360 is busted or not

That sucx. I recently replaced my xbox and since I was across the country I did not bring back the old brick. (left it in the garbage). Now I wish I kept it if only to give it away to someone like you who could use it. Crazy how much the stores want for a replacement!
