I have been waiting a long time for this... Paradise came out in January 2008 so it is going up for 3 years since the last game came out... and I am wanting a new one. Does anybody know any information on this?

If you ask me - I would prefer the game to be like Burnout 3: Takedown. I would also, personally, prefer Crash modes to be taken out as that was the only mode I never enjoyed in Burnout. We can't forget a good soundtrack... the Burnout games have always also been about the great soundtrack to me as well as the thrill of the speed and taking down opponents. Burnout is my favourite racing game series of all time, with Burnout 3: Takedown being my favourite, with Revenge behind it. Don't get me wrong I did love Paradise and the online freeburn was VERY addicting just like GTAIV's free roam is, but the open world offered no "restart race" options and the like... but the soundtracks from all 3 games (I have played Burnout 2 for a short time but my copy freezes up a lot), and Burnout Legends for the PSP as well.

Legends is just like Takedown but for the PSP, it's awesome. Ihaven't actually played Dominator as it was never released on the Xbox 360, but I would like to own it for either PS2 or PSP or both sometime, definately.

Burnout has NEVER been about the graphics, but imagine Paradise's graphics but worked on A LOT with a VERY good soundtrack and sense of speed and the fun factor remaining from 3: Takedown... that would simply be amazing.

I think it would actually be cool if they worked on all of the Burnout 3 tracks and worked them all in to some sort of open world (but make it so you can restart races and just click the map to start a race...) nothing worse than losing a race and driving right across Paradise to possibly lose it again. I personally would prefer if they did do open world they should put barriers around during the race. Nothing more frustrating than taking a wrong turn because you had no clue where to go!

I could care less about the cars so long as they are still fast and have excellent handling like in the past. But actually, thinking about it, designing your own car would be cool... changing the colour to ANYTHING and adding text/pictures if you so wish (which could be transfered perfectly over to another car as they would all be the same-ish shape), but nothing more in-depth than that as we would then be going down the route of simulators.

TL;DR (I think that's the term you use to sum it all up? :P): Has anybody heard about a new Burnout coming to the Xbox 360 or anything in general Burnout-wise and what features etc. did you/would you like in the new one?

Criterion, the makers of the Burnout series, is currently working on Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit set to be released on November 16, 2010.

I say make it like Burnout 3 that game was classic the open world of Burnout Paradise isnt good for this type of game. Its hard to read a map and race at high speeds at the same time, thats why people dont try doing in real life lol.

I remember reading that the DLC support for Paradise was going to be EA's final test to see if they could get Burnout's sales up to where they felt they should be. Need for Speed always sells well despite quality and Burnout always underperformed for them despite quality. I think it failed. If you trust VGChartz, Paradise didn't sell any better than the old games. Them sticking the Burnout team on a Need for Speed branded game is another sign for me that Burnout might be around in spirit, but the name is gonna be gone for a while, possibly the rest of this gen.

I hope not :(. I actually found the Burnout 6 page here on GameSpot... but it is dead and it says TBA, so yeah it probably won't be for a while :(. I just hope this NFS can satisfy my Burnout needs :D.

As everyone is saying the next Need for Speed game is essentially the next Burnout game, definitely one to look forward to IMO.
