Ive played Revenge at my mates house a few times, it was really intense, so i decided to buy Paradise. So far, it just seems nowhere near as intense, with the worst part being you have to constantly look at the map while racing. Heck correct me if im wrong, but Revenge also looks way better?

What would most agree is better?

I would agree with you. I found Revenge to be more intense and to be honest allot more fun. I would say that the graphics are better as well.

I found having to look at the map in Paradise very annoying, I've been considering picking up Revenge if it's less of an open world game.

Revenge was a lot of fun. I hated the demo for paradise, maybe the full game will be better but I hated some of new changes.

It is. Burnout revenge is not an open world game.

I didn't mind it so much for the single player, but when it came to multiplayer...not having linear/designated tracks took a lot of the fun away.

I thought paradise was an awesome game, played it for hours and hours and hours till nearly 100% complete, it is plenty intense so I dont know what youre on about but that said it is a drastically different game to its forebearers. So its not everyones cup of tea.

If you dont like looking at maps then I'm afraid you shouldnt have gone for an open world game, but as a word of advice at the top centre of the screen there are a couple of sign posts that pop up giving you clear indication which to go during races and such like, that aside you find yourself looking at the map a lot less as you get used to the city.

paradise is one of my favourite games, got full 101% complete,i think it is extremely intense especially if you are playing online with people of similar skill, and the map can be annoying at first but before long you will know the map so well you dont even need to look at it

I agree, Revenge was awesome, in fact I found it even better than Takedown. Revenge was very intense and beautiful. As far as I recall.. Paradise has quite repetitive racing modes.

The one thing I really enjoyed about Revenge (and Takedown for that matter) that was absent from Paradise was the Crash mode. Those Showtime events in Paradise seemed like a crappy replacement for it. Otherwise, I thought that Paradise was an awesome game with great aftermarket support from Criterion (Cagney pack, bikes, day/night cycle, Big Surf Island, unlockable cars, etc.) The multiplayer and cooperative modes were fun as well.

I liked Takedown the most, Revenge seemed like Takedown with a worse menu system, and Paradise was Revenge with no menu system. Some people like the wandering open world aspect of Paradise, I despise it.

Revenge. I wouldn't mind the open world of Paradise if they would close the track when you started a race.

I loved takedown, then came revenge and it was awesome, but paradise is nowhere near as funny as it's predecessors, I don't like how EA managed to destroy one of the best games taking features off, and the road this is going, sad !!!

I found the original Burnouts (1,2,3,Revenge) to be a lot better than Paradise. The only thing that Paradise really had going for it was the online which was really good.
