Buy L4D now or wait for 2?

What your opinion?

I've got a friend coming over tomorrow and I was thinking of playing co-op on L4D with him, however I don't have the game...

Is it worth it to buy it tomorrow before he comes over or should I just wait for Left 4 Dead 2 to come out?

Save your money all together and dont buy either. I am a big valve supporter and felt like this game was defiantly not worth the money

Get the 1st one. You can get it for a lot cheaper than 60USD. I bought mines for $30 on eBay.

A lot of people play this now online and I don't think as many people will get the 2nd one.

Get Left4Dead now if you can find a used copy for cheap. Then get L4D2 when it drops!

Very very fun game if you have friends to play with.

Versus mode is awesome and so is Survival mode after you have beat the campaigns a few times. The game jsut doesnt get old imo.

Get both of them. Both are short.

You don't have to worry that they're only going to support L4D for a few months because that's not the case. They've planned to release the new DLC for the first game they promised when it was announced and are supporting both communities when L4D2 comes out much like the recent COD's except this is all Valve.

Thats a tough decision, L4D is great and still will be strong online even when L4D2 comes out, but L4D2 seems to add more weapons, levelsand stuff. I dont think its worth getting both, and since Valve will forget about L4D soon. Basically my opinion is - If you are going to play online then probably wait for L4D2 and get more time with itunless you're willing to buy both, but if you arent going to play online then get L4D unless your willing to get both.

Go for it dude, there are tons of people who still play it online and more downloadable content is coming!!!

i was suprised when i went to walmart and saw l4d for still 50 bucks

so i say wait for l4d2

I think they both seem too similar to eachother to get both unless you really end up loving it which some people have. If you're only planning on one right now, wait for number two. It has more weapons (including melee unlike the first) and an extra campaign. If you can find a cheap copy of the first, it's worth the buy.
