I ordered COD4 last Saturday (11/24) from Buy.com because I know that they have fast shipping. I got an e-mail on the 27th that it had been shipped. I've ordered from them several times, the last time being when I ordered Madden and it had come 2 days after I got the confirmation e-mail that it had been shipped. Tomorrow it will be a week since I got the e-mail that it had been shipped.
Seeing that I still haven't gotten it, I went to their site today and went to the tracking info and saw this:
Status: Your shipment was accepted/picked up at 10:23 am on December 03, 2007 in JERSEY CITY, NJ 07097 .
What does this mean? Does this mean I should be expecting it tomorrow since I've already gotten my mail and the UPS man has already made his deliveries to my house today? Or does it mean something else?
I don't order things online much so if I sound stupid, sorry. I just want to make sure that means I should be receiving it soon. I live in NY, btw.
This doesn't mean that it was delivered to someone in NJ....right? It just means that it was delivered to a shipping center like UPS and I should expect it in the next couple days, correct?
If you have the UPS tracking number use their site to get better information. If it was still in UPS' hands and they were going to deliver it, it would say "Out for delivery" or something to that effect. Once the package is delivered it will say "Delivered/Signed by"..if no signature was needed or given, then there might be a remark about where the package was left.

Well, on Buy.com, it says this in my order summary:
"Shipped on 11/27/2007 via ground services.Click here to track: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX (23 digit tracking number)
Does the tracking number start with "1Z" or are they just numbers? If with "1Z", then it's a UPS tracking number, you can always call UPS with that tracking number to find out what happened to the package..
I've ordered from buy.com many of times. If you get the free shipping, it ships out via USPS. All that means is it was received and processed in New Jersey, so you should expect it very soon.

The mail goes from one post to another and eventually makes its way to your house, normally tracking numbers only update once a day so it means that yesdterday the item was in a psot office in NJ, today when it updates my guess is it will be in a post office in NY (if my american geography is correct) and you should hopefully receive your package tomorrow.
