I'm 20 years old, have no credit, and I'm going to apply for the best buy credit card, because they're having a promotion saying if you spend $500 or more, you have no interest for 18 months, and pay a minimum monthly payment of 1%.

Anyways this is what I'm getting..

Xbox 360 20gb Version - $260

Xbox live 12 month + 1 month free - $50

Halo 3 - $60

Gears of War 2 (preorder) - $60

GTA IV - $60

Are those good games? I don't want single player games or games I can get for PC, as I have a really good PC. Are there any better games out there than GTA IV? COD 4 was pretty boring on PC.

Also I've searched everywhere and the prices on these games seems to be $60.. I thought they would be much lower, guess I was wrong..

Fallout 3 if you liked Oblivion (it's better BTW) but I guess you'll get it for PC, Condemned (1 and 2), Dead Space, Fable 2, Hitman Blood Money, Gears 1 (you can get really cheap and it's a must have, or at least rent it so you have the first part of the story)... those are the only games that pop to mind at this moment, I'll update if I think of any others.

Another thing you should consider not game related are the rechargeable battery packs... the controllers come with standard AA batteries.

kinda hard to know if it's good without prices...

GTAIV isn't a great online game if that's what you're looking for, but it's fun single player

Why get the 20gb xbox now? The 60gb is standard for $299 (Canadian prices...so you might even get it cheaper depending on where you are)

If you want the 20gb, get the $199 arcade model and then buy a 20gb HD off ebay for $40...that might save you a little money but it's a big hassle.

The bestbuy card is interesting. You just have to be careful about 1 thing...If you don't pay it off before the no interest term, then ALL the interest that accrued over that term is due...(It's at 28.8% yearly in Canada...might be different rate where you are) so just make sure you pay if off :-)

enjoy your xbox!

Pretty good choices.

GTA IV is coming out for PC in December, I don't know if you care. Personally I find third person games like GTA sort of annoying with a keyboard.

I'd probably just skip the first Gears. Or just rent it or something.

I would say you've made great choices! congrats! The ONLY other game I'd recommend you to purchase is Fallout 3 because it's absolutely fantastic. But if you're not into RPG's that your own deal.
