Buying an Xbox 360 on ebay

I was wondering if I bought a new xbox 360 on ebay if microsoft's warrenty would still be valid?

Hard to say. You should ask the particular seller you're interested in buying from if he/she has the original store receipt when they bought the 360 because if they do then the warrantee will still be good.

I would strongly advise not to buy anything as fragile and expensive as a 360 off of Ebay...If it is used...well it's used. But if it is new in the box, I would not trust the ability of the seller to package it correctly.

Alright thanks guys for your input. I don't want to be cheaper to find out that i have no warranty if i need one.

you get 3 years warranty with MS doesnt matter if you have a receipt or not thats only if you want to return it back to a store!

your 3 years will be fine with MS.... but just expect month long delays to get ur 360 back if theres problem of this magnitude... that your worried about

I'd spend the little extra and go get your own brand new... Then you won't have to worry about defective or warranty issues. It's not worth taking the chance.
