I'm not very good with technology but I was wondering what the other cable that's attached to the AV cable is? The one that has red, green, and some other color.

red, green and blue are the component cables. They are for HDTVs more or less.

this is exactly why microsoft provide you with an instruction book and someone invented google BUT

the "red green etc" cables are the HD component cables, you use them to get a basic high definition picture from your 360 on an HD tv

Haha thanks, I noticed the cable from my friends Xbox. I don't have that cable because I have an older 360 and it didn't come with it :D
